BLACK (GARDEN) ANTS 🐜
Yesterday we witnessed a lot of flying ants around the Edinburgh area, this only happens in July and August when the temperature, humidity and wind are just right!
The fetile, winged males and females leave the nests on go on a mating flight. Once they have mated, the males die and the females shed their wings and seek a new suitable nesting site.
