Baraga Lakeside Inn

The rooms are decent and comfortable overall. They were clean and had the basics needed for a short stay, and the beds were comfortable enough. The lakeside location is a nice bonus and adds to the experience. However, the hotel definitely needs some updating. The rooms and common areas feel dated, and a few upgrades would make a big difference. While nothing was terrible, it doesn’t quite meet the standard of more modern hotels. Overall, it’s an okay place to stay if you’re looking for something affordable in a good location, but it could be much better with renovations and updates.

Our waitress was friendly and all around very cool lady. The breakfast food is excellent. Blueberry Pancakes are enormous and delicious. The biscuits and gravy was very good. But let me take a minute to tell you about the best reuben sandwich ive ever had the privilege of enjoying. It was perfectly toasted rye bread stuffed with corned beef, a heap of warm sauerkraut, gooey layers of melted swiss cheese, and a generous dose of dressing. I was full 3/4 of the way through but it was so good I finished it. Honestly I should've ordered a second one to take with me.

Y’all, I love this place. For an Independent hotel that my family has been coming to for what feels like 84 years ☠️🤣 it’s just a fun little townie hotel with its own gossip, culture, mini battles and I’m obsessed! The night manager Trinity is a G, that’s all I have to say. I think people might underestimate her bc she’s not America’s Next Top Model, but in MY house, we like the big girls. 4 life!! By33eeeee

We found out this hotel is under new ownership and it shows. The floor of the elevator was so filthy we used the stairs. The blanket on our bed was shredded and falling apart (how does housekeeping miss that?). On the good side, the food and staff in the restaurant very good and the front desk person was very nice. The view is beautiful. We stayed here a few years ago and it was much nicer then, sorry to see the new owners have let those standards slip. We probably won't stay here again.

I went to this hotel on July 2024 w my family. I'm from Argentina and it was my first time visiting the U.S. I must say that this hotel was delightful for me, the people, the rooms, the food, all was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel if you go with family and friends. Thank you.

Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds. A restaurant on the main floor serving great food. Also a bar! With views of the lake! Like an all in one place. But even if you are not staying with them stop on in for the restaurant!

The staff was exceptional!! We had paid for three nights, but plans changed and had to checkout a day early. They were gracious enough to refund our payment and in a timely manner.

Staying here tonight bc we didn't have power at home, heat doesn't work on the wall unit, TV doesn't work. Definitely should of stayed at home in the dark and saved my money. I suppose the owner doesn't really care since they're 1 of 2 hotels in town.

Pool and hot tub were filthy. Spiders smashed on the walls and not washed off. Our balcony had no screen door and was covered in spider webs. For the price I expected a lot more! This was comparable to a motel 6.

So, our first room had a plumbing related issue and we had to get moved to another room. The rooms and other parts of the motel are dated and things need to be repaired/replaced. Also, the bed coverings, it was a quilt kind of covering, in both rooms had stains. The sheets appeared to be clean as did the towels.
