A fantastic evening at the newly opened Bar-Vi in Madrid. The Bar-Vi in Madrid is an absolute highlight! We spent an unforgettable evening there. Although it has only recently opened, the concept is already perfect. The selection of wines is impressive and invites you to discover new Spanish varieties. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and were able to tell us an exciting story about each wine. But it's not just the wines that are excellent, the food is also a real treat for the senses. Every dish on the menu was a little work of art - from the fresh, delicious starters to the main courses. You can taste that they cook with passion and high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is incredibly cosy and stylish, perfect for a relaxed evening. Whether you just stop by for a glass of wine or want to enjoy a whole evening with friends, the Bar-Vi is the perfect place to do so. An absolute must for all gourmet lovers in Madrid!

What a great place - good wine and superb food. If you're in the mood for some braised beef - do not hesitate and go to this place. On of my favorite dishes I had in Spain. Quality wines and nice assortment by the glass. I can recommend this place!

Everything was fantastic, no notes. We stumbled upon this wine bar in between reservations to pass the time and ended up moving our reservation to stay here longer. We got the olives, carrots and hummus, bread con citrus butter and six different single glass wines all of which were fantastic. In particular we loved the orange wines! The music was excellent and the service was lovely. Highly recommend for anyone (couples, small group of friends) looking for a comfy but upbeat, intimate wine bar in Madrid before dinner.

An Unexpected Gem in the Heart of Madrid — BAR-VI is a Must We stumbled upon BAR-VI while walking through the Letras neighborhood, and honestly, what a find. The atmosphere is super cozy but modern, kind of like going over to a friend’s house who really knows how to host. The staff were friendly from the start — not overly formal, just genuinely kind and attentive. And the food? Amazing. We shared a bunch of dishes and each one had that feeling of real cooking behind it. The standout for me was the beef (I think it was cheek?) over this insanely creamy mashed potato — rich, flavorful, comforting, and just perfect with a glass of red wine. Another friend had the fish, which came on the same mash with a bunch of roasted cherry tomatoes on top. Light and fresh but still packed with flavor. The risotto surprised me — I’m not usually a huge fan of the gorgonzola, but it had some kind of apple in it and a really nice balance of creamy and fresh. It didn’t feel heavy at all. The starter salad with prawns and citrus was also refreshing and super colorful. Everything just felt well thought out. You can tell they care about ingredients and don’t cut corners. Nothing felt generic or mass-produced. And the portions were just right — enough to feel satisfied, but not heavy. I’ll 100% be coming back, and already thinking who I want to bring next time. Highly recommend if you’re in Madrid and want a relaxed dinner that still feels special.

Cute wine bar with an interesting selection of natural wines! The staff were great and provided nice insights into the different wines they offer. Food was delicious and perfect accompaniment to the wine!

Easily one of my favorite spots in Madrid. Bar-Vi nails the balance between cozy vibes and creative cooking. The sweet chili pulled pork on brioche is a must-order, and their natural wine selection is top-tier. Great music, great service, and food that really surprises you. Can’t wait to go back!" Key details included in these drafts: • The Vibe: Relaxed, "enjoy without pretende," and situated in the literary quarter. • The Food: Specific mentions of their signature "Italian soul with Caribbean flair" dishes (Anchovies on brioche, Pulled pork, Roast beef tonnato). • The Wine: Highlighted their focus on natural wines and "author's cuisine."

An extraordinary experience from start to finish! 🍷 If you are looking for food that is Mediterranean with a strong Italian soul (plus a creative twists that sometimes hint at Caribbean influences) BarVi is the place: The creativity and care in every dish is absolutely phenomenal, and the organic natural wine pairings are impeccable. The flavors are bold yet perfectly balanced, and the service is superb and attentive. This is the kind of place that truly deserves a Michelin star. This a must visit for any food and wine lover!

Cute little wine bar. Offers very little variety by the glass so you probably have to get bottles.

seems like some things could be improved... the waiters didn't talk about our present the wine at all. no tapas given with a drink. and the smallest pour I've seen in Madrid. however, the wine was pretty interesting

Good vibes and many options for vegetarians. I loved the risotto w Gorgonzola cheese and green apples, and the roasted carrots w cannellini hummus. I will come back when in Madrid
