This was by far my favorite place to eat at while in Wall, SD. Reasonably priced and delicious food you won’t be disappointed. You’ll love their fries they almost taste like a truffle fry. My burger was medium exactly like the menu stated and everyone loved their food. No one had a single complaint about the food. They are incredibly busy but we didn’t have to wait for a table. Our server didn’t really seem like she was excited to help us, she wasn’t very bubbly or talkative. Otherwise we had an amazing time and I would definitely eat here again. They even have a lot machines in the back.

My brother and I were camping in the Badlands and craving a good breakfast, and this place delivered! The black coffee was much better than expected. I had a custom breakfast burrito, and the portion was huge—I only ended up eating half. My brother had the ‘Local Platter,’ which included French toast, eggs, and breakfast meat. Our server was attentive and helpful, and the place was clean and welcoming. For what it is, this spot exceeded expectations! A great find!

This was an amazing experience! Some of the other reviews had me concerned, but we were beyond happy to have eaten here. The Cowboy Slop had delicious mashed potatoes, and very good and crispy chicken. Both the side and grilled chicken salads were hits, with my grandpa especially enjoying the blue cheese dressing. The baked potato soup was also delicious, with a slightly smoky flavor. The fries were crispy and not oily. My younger brother got the country fried steak, which was massive, but well cooked and tasty. Our server was super friendly and helped with all of our family's strange needs, and even let my brother sit at the bar even though he was a child. We would definitely come here again if we were ever in the area.

I recently had breakfast at Badlands Saloon and Grille during my stay nearby, and it was a fantastic experience! The complimentary breakfast was already quite filling, but we couldn’t resist ordering some additional dishes. Everything we tried was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous—definitely too much for just the two of us! Our server was a highlight of the meal; she was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Her warm demeanor added to the overall positive atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a hearty breakfast with great service, I highly recommend Badlands Saloon and Grille!

We stayed at Frontier Cabin, and since breakfast was included, we came here to eat. The staff was really rude, and the cost of French toast or pancakes was already included in the accommodation price. We added two servings each of fruit and lemonade, but it ended up costing $20, which is ridiculous. On top of that, the blueberries were covered in mold. It was the worst.

The bacon cheeseburger was great! The shrimp tacos and the cheese curds were wonderful too. The waitress was excellent and friendly. We had a great lunch!

I ate there twice- dinner and lunch the next day. Dinner was salad with berries and chicken. It was good at first and then the chicken had an odd taste as it got cold. The next day I had a cheese burger and it was great. Fries are crisp. Then as I ate my burger I figured out the odd taste of my chicken last night. They cook the chicken on the same griddle space as the burgers without cleaning it so the chicken gets an after taste of a burger. I liked my burger but I would not order chicken again due to the odd after taste. It was loud at lunch becuase there is a bar in the back and there was a group of loud people. At dinner it was quiet. So it may or may not be quiet. I wanted pizza but you can only order it to go. I would eat here again but burgers only!!!

The rating on this place is deceptively low. The atmosphere is bright, yet rustic. It's family friendly and the food was good. Our kids (9, 11) split a pizza. My wife had the cheese burger and I had the pastrami burger. Both were fantastic. The menu could probably use a few lighter options, but the place definitely exceeded my expectations for a Tuesday night in the office season. All the staff was super friendly and attentive.

How does this place not have higher ratings? Our waitress was awesome the food was AMAZING. I had the country fried steak, our 22 year old had the cowboy slop and my husband had the badlands salad with steak added. It was all amazing! Added bonus... servings are giant, so youll have lunch for tomorrow... or you can share. 🙂
