My mom and I planned to stop for lunch in Wall before going to explore one of our near home places, Badlands National Park. Our first time eating there. We got a kind and quiet server. He looks more tired but he’s all right to me. Got great local craft beers and good SPICY burgers! It wasn’t busy around 12:15 when we arrived there yesterday.

Great place to have dinner! Nice and inviting atmosphere with friendly, helpful service! We started with the cheese curds, which were good! My husband had a burger and fries and I had the hot beef. Everything was delicious, but that portion size of hot beef was HUGE!!!! That could have fed two people! Definitely stop in and try this place out! You won’t be disappointed!

I visited the restaurant for the second time—this being my first visit during the winter season—and I thought it might be empty or even closed for the season. Instead, I found a lively atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the margarita was perfect. The place is very nice, clean, and cozy. Many thanks to Nathaly for her excellent service. Even though she was handling the restaurant by herself with several tables and the bar at the same time, she still provided us with outstanding service. It’s clear she loves her job!! 👏🏻👏🏻💯

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Badlands Grill was an unexpected gem! I had the Ultimate Mac Sandwich—absolutely loved it. Super unique and packed with flavor. My son-in-law ordered the Dirty Bird and said it was one of the best things he’s had on our trip. The beans were surprisingly amazing—definitely not an afterthought. My son went with the cheeseburger, which he said was pretty standard, but he really enjoyed the flatbread fries. Great food and great stop overall!

The Badlands Saloon and Grille is a gem in Wall! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels inviting—laid-back, rustic, and full of local charm. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a long day of exploring the Badlands or Wall Drug. The service here is outstanding. Staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely make you feel welcome. They go out of their way to check in, keep things moving smoothly, and add a personal touch to the experience. The environment itself strikes a nice balance between lively and comfortable—whether you’re sitting at the bar for a casual drink or enjoying a sit-down meal with family and friends. The place is clean, well-kept, and has just the right amount of buzz without ever feeling crowded. Overall, Badlands Saloon and Grille delivers both great service and a warm, enjoyable atmosphere—definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone visiting Wall.

This was by far my favorite place to eat at while in Wall, SD. Reasonably priced and delicious food you won’t be disappointed. You’ll love their fries they almost taste like a truffle fry. My burger was medium exactly like the menu stated and everyone loved their food. No one had a single complaint about the food. They are incredibly busy but we didn’t have to wait for a table. Our server didn’t really seem like she was excited to help us, she wasn’t very bubbly or talkative. Otherwise we had an amazing time and I would definitely eat here again. They even have a lot machines in the back.

I try to stop and eat here when I am coming thru South Dakota! The fact that they charge and 20% fee , for party of 6 or more, without telling you is NOT good customer service! I understand food prices are going up, but seriously you get an extra $15 on my bill even though my party of 12 paid separately!!! So our waiter, which really didn’t know how to do his job, never brought the water I ordered, he never gave us refills, and the food was cold!! Worst service ever! But yet he still got a $30 PLUS TIP??? If you have a group of 6 or more people stay away! Updated: instead of this place apologizing for their poor service and untrained staff! they instead try to justify why they charge so much for party of 6 or more! 👏👏

Badlands Bar & Grill is truly impressive. The service is flawless. The food is superb. Today we shared the Hot Beef. Portion was huge.

The food is OK. Definitely consumable. My wife ordered a house salad. The majority of the salad was green, but had visible browning to the lettuce. My wife, complained to the waitress, then suddenly a man in an apron carrying a large plastic container containing lettuce, came barging out of the back room/kitchen. He began to physically pick up the lettuce in the container with his bare hands and began yelling at my wife about how the lettuce is always fresh. Needless to say, we got up and left.

Well this is about the best place in Wall if not the whole area. They are a bit short on staff, but they don’t stress over it and do the best they can. Food is fantastic, staff is very friendly and accommodating. We pulled in and at 7:30 it was packed. So we just had breakfast at the bar. We did receive mild harassment from the bartender, we could have used a little more. But she was busy. Always our first choice in Wall.
