BackBreakers NW

We hired BackBreakers NW July 2024 to partially pack a household of furniture and move into storage in Burlington 124 miles away. The packing crew was courteous and seemed competent. Later after seeing how a different BackBreakers crew unloaded and packed things the next day, I decided I would not use them to move my things into a house a year later. Particularly unnerving was the unwrapped TV set on the floor 3 feet from the door, lamp shades on top of glass lamp shades without any padding in between. I had not traveled the distance to supervise the unpacking at storage. My mistake. July 2025 I hired a different company and they discovered that one leg of an irreplaceable antique desk had been broken when it was placed into storage. I had to hire a woodworker to repair the desk leg. One very expensive original piece of art in the frame was not wrapped at all and the frame set leaning against a wall in storage unit. Totally unacceptable. Also lamp shades in a box were glass to glass without any paper between them. Who would think glass lamp shades touching would be okay? Two leather recliners have long-lasting indentations on the sides from them nesting upside down one in the other. In a box marked "pictures" was the cookware top I'd been looking for a month. I do not recommend this company. I lowered from two stars to one because of the expense of the oak desk repair.

BackBreakers NW was fantastic to work with. They helped us unload and safely set up large commercial physical therapy clinic equipment, and their professionalism and attention to safety made a huge difference. The crew worked efficiently, communicated clearly, and truly functioned as a great team. They helped us think through placement and logistics and really put all the puzzle pieces together. We are very grateful for their help and would highly recommend them.
