AS A PROFESSIONAL WELL TRAINED MECHANIC, DO NOT PURCHASE ANY VEHICLES FROM THOSE SELLER!!! First off I am a certified Audi as well as a certified Mercedes Benz technician. So itās safe to say when it come to working on cars, and servicing customers at a dealership
, Iām at a high level in the industry. I was sold an over priced vehicle under false pretenses. When I first get to the dealership which is in San Antonio after driving from Houston, I have to wait an hour just for them to bring the car out because it had a āflat tireā. Finally test drive the car, nothing out of the normal. Go to sign financial documents, while signing the sales man takes the vehicle to put gas in it. Which was only a quarter tank? Salesman comes back and instead of parking the car where it was he drove it to the back area where the shop is located. Same place where the car came from earlier then the ātire was lowā.. see him bring the car back around then take it back to the shop. And this is all while signing documents. After everything is said and done, 30 minutes into the drive back to Houston and the engine light comes on. At this moment I knew I had been tricked. And of course by the time this happened the dealership was closed and it was a Saturday. After getting in contact with the dealer and letting them know ow that I was aware of the bad sales practices I was insulted by the owner. Had a code for a bad catalytic converter. The owner literally told me since Iām a mechanic I can fix it. No! Thatās not how that works. They try to make me use warranty but as a dealer you know the condition of your vehicles. But instead of them fixing the issue they clear the code so the engine light doesnāt show just long enough so they can sell the car, then tell customer to call warranty for fixes. As a mechanic who works in high level dealerships I know shady business practices when it comes to autos. Dealer ultimately ended up buying new catalytic converter after going back and forth arguing in which I was insulted many times. They knew they were wrong and definitely did not want any legal issues. It turned out that both catalytic converters were bad. They didnāt want to purchase the first one so I know they wonāt purchase the second. Now Iām prevented from proper inspections which leads to tickets which is a hindrance; depending on how I want to go about the situation, it could all just become an issue for them if I choose to pursue legally. I also waited about a year to write this review. On the vehicle itself various places where paint has chipped or peeled or is cracking away due to them attempting to cover up various small rust spots with cheap paint cover ups. Bad thermostat leaking as well as oil leak from oil filter housing. Itās safe to say they got me. They got me good. Like I said Iām a professional European car technician in Houston. Audi central Houston, Mercedes Benz greenway, and ABZ motors just so you can google and understand the level of where Iām at in the business. So when I say find another place to buy a car do it! Do not buy from this dealer.
