Great place for both DIY and Professional Sprayers, Sandpaper is cheap and in large sheets until you get to 1200-2000. Custom Aersol paint is reasonable, Primer and Laquer are £1-£2 more expensive then halfords however you would get advice and recommendations from these guys.
I bought Custom Aersol for a 2010 Kia Picanto SA. Colour code is UD (Clear White) Looking at the finished paint work straight on its a perfect match. when looking at a angle there is a blue tinge and i personally dont know why. This was a DIY job after all. If you take a look at the pictures the petrol cap side is almost perfect there is a blue tinge but this is more exaggerated on the pictures. If you flip around to the opposite side this is where you can see the colour difference between the door and the rear panel. the blue tinge really shows. I do admit its not worse when it was first sprayed but this has been a week later. I 100% gaurentee this is not a reflection of the sky or anything blue behind me
If Auto paint know why this has happend then i would love to know. I followed the same technique on both sides however the right side of the vehicle i put on 1 light coat followed with 2 heavy coats. compared to the left side (petrol cap side) which was 3 light coats. However if you notice as you go up on the right side it isnt as noticeable or has a blue tinge same with going down to the sill. but you can see the door is white completely and the rear quater panel does have a blueish tint. can was shaken for 3-5 mins.
I do think this could be error on Auto paints side. possibly incorrect mixture of a tad to much blue cause even when blended well still gives a blue tinge my average spraying skills could be contributing to this.
4* either way and would buy again for future cars however i will consider picking up spray cards in the near future before spraying or asking for sample cards so i can get a better match
