Auto Repair at The Hive

I went to this place to fix an issue with my dashboard and to get an oil change. I understand that they weren't able to identify the issue, but after day four they finally decided look at the check engine light. On the following morning I called them and left a voicemail stating that I only wanted them to do an oil change and no other service, because I couldn't wait any longer without my car. They responded and told me okay and that they will let technician know. I get there in the afternoon and they only did the one service I called and told them not to do. I paid $120 didn't even get the service I wanted. On my bill it says I declined the service yet I was still charged for it. I ended up receiving a call form the owner Rob. He admittedly tried to resolve the issue. He was understanding, and apologized for the miscommunication. He gave me a full refund, found out what was wrong with my car, gave me a free oil change, and gave me a loaner vehicle. You can tell he cares about his job and it's worth returning just to support his business.

Saban, Joshua, and Manny are extremely helpful in the process of helping fix the car. We drove in from out of town and they were able to help us immediately and quickly diagnosed the vehicle. The service and concerned for our needs was exceptional. 10/10

Such a great experience for a costly repair lol. Saban (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was pure awesomeness! Everyone was wonderful and even offered to drive me home because I can't see at night. I felt appreciated and cared for as a customer! I can't recommend the Hive enough. Will be a repeat customer for sure! Thanks guys!!

I paid for a full diagnostic to determine the issue I was having with my truck. It was determined that my fuel pump was bad. I paid for my fuel pump to be replaced. After picking up my truck I was told there was an issue with my fuel gauge, an issue I did not have before. After speaking with other professionals, I was told the issue is most likely a faulty fuel pump. When I contacted The Hive, I was told I could pay for another diagnostic to confirm the issue. I was extremely disappointed with this response as the issue could most likely be the fuel pump they put in. Instead of ensuring the quality of their service, I was expect to pay for it.

These guys are scammers. Last year I asked for an oil change and they claimed my suspension ball joint needed to be removed and replaced costing about $900. As a woman, I felt like I was being tricked so I waited and got it looked at by Les Schwab when I noticed issues. They said nothing was wrong with the ball and I had my alignment fixed for only $120. The hive is a bunch of money hungry liars who prey on women who they think have no knowledge about their own vehicles. Disgusting business

I had an excellent experience at The Hive. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Josh, Sibone (apologies if I’m spelling that wrong!), and the mechanic were fantastic to work with — professional, friendly, and incredibly dedicated. They worked really hard to diagnose an ongoing issue with my car that others couldn’t seem to solve. I truly appreciate their persistence and expertise. I highly recommend The Hive to anyone

They’re quick about getting my car back on the road, and they’re incredibly thorough in their inspections and evaluations. What really sets them apart is how they communicate. If I’m waiting, they don’t just hand me a sheet of paper—they actually bring me back to show me in person what they’re seeing. They walk me through the issues, explain the severity, and make sure I fully understand what needs to be done without any pressure. That kind of transparency is rare, and it gives me total confidence in their work. Most recently, my wife went in just for a very overdue oil change. During their inspection, they caught a serious problem with an engine mount and also found an active oil leak from the oil pressure sensor. Instead of leaving us stranded or waiting days for parts, they sourced what was needed right away and had her fixed up—all within the hour she was there! That kind of speed, honesty, and care is why I won’t take my vehicles anywhere else. If you’re in or around Moscow and need auto repair or maintenance, I 100% recommend The Hive. They treat you right, explain things clearly, and truly care about keeping you safely on the road.

The men were very polite and knowledgeable. They got my work done the same day. While I was waiting, I asked them to price out several things I need to have done in the future. Their prices are quite reasonable! As a woman. It’s nice going into a shop where the men aren’t trying to upsell you anything. Kudos for being decent human beings! Highly recommend.

I am only giving two stars because their Availability was very quick. I asked for a quote over the phone to have just two tires put on. I also informed them That I was running on a donut all the way from Pullman. They said they had to look at it before they could give me a proper quote. When I showed up at my appointment time, they didn’t bother looking at it included me in person for almost $100 just to put on tires without balancing or anything. I also already had the tires off of the car. That’s crazy. Thanks for making me drive on my donut and potentially cause more damage to my car without quoting me a reasonable price first.

The Hive saved our vacation. The Hive took our car in for an evaluation immediately AND gave us a loaner vehicle. The repair was completed in two days, even faster than originally quoted. The service technician even showed us the old broken part when we picked up our car! Excellent service. Fast repair. We were very blessed to find the Hive Auto Repair in Moscow, ID.
