Our kitchen mixer decided to go full 360 over the weekend and we were recommended AustWest by my aunt so when Monday came around and I called them up at 7.30am, Dave said they could send a plumber out straight away! As we were already on our way to work, we asked if we could schedule in for another day and Dave was very helpful and said they could do Wednesday, to which I said, absolutely, book it in! On Wednesday morning, the plumber (Mark) arrived on time and was very pleasant and even offered some helpful recommendations, should we need to change our kitchen mixer in future. Overall very pleased with the work done and definitely happy to support local small businesses!

Called Austwest plumbing as we have had a terrible sewerage smell at our home for a couple of weeks. The company sent out Marc who arrived and checked the obvious breather vents. He sealed a couple of the outlets and 45mins later left. No check of the actual sewer line was done and we were essentially left with the same issue. $300 dollars later we are no where near having rectified this issue. I followed up with the company owner David, who informed us that as far as plumbing work goes, that's all they could do about the issue and that Marc could not even smell the offending odour (although at the time Marc mentioned a few times that he could)? All in all a disappointing outcome, finished off with an exorbitant fee!

Brett called me back straight away! Came out same day and attended to a major water leak. He looked at all my taps and toilets to ensure all functioning and sorted only those required. Great service thank you Brett!

I have asked Austwest Plumbing to sort out many issues with my house over quite a few years now and these range from very minor to major jobs. The staff are always extremely helpful- they have always been on time and as they work to fix the problem they are aware of the time they take to do so- almost wanting to help with the overall cost. They really are terrific communicators. They know the layout of my house now after so many years and this also helps with issues. I can't recommend Dave and his team highly enough- it gives me and my family the reassurance that when a problem occurs Austwest will be here to fix it - and Dave is always brilliant on the phone- helpful and willing to get a plumbing professional to my house ASAP. Whatever you do, don’t hire Austwest Plumbing & Gas for your plumbing. They say “affordable”, “reliable” and “$0 call out fee”, but they stand by none of these. They came 45 minutes after the 2 hour time period they allocated to me (I needed to go to work), they charged me $300 for less than 30 minutes work on an easy plumbing job, they charged me a call out fee, even though they said they don’t, and then the owner of the company was extremely rude to me on the phone when I enquired about the charges. Saying things like “you sound like an intelligent woman, but let me lay it out for you”. I am sorry, but don’t belittle a woman, who was very respectful and kind to you on the phone. There was more, but I won’t bore you with the details.

David from Austwest was brilliant in sorting out long outstanding issues with hammering pipes. He was very methodical in his systematic diagnosis and quickly established the primary cause of our problem. He was very thorough, professional and his positive attitude gave us complete confidence in workmanship. No issues were too much trouble for David and was very respectful, taking off his work boots whilst working in the house and cleaned up prior to leaving. We highly recommend this company for any future works.

We had Austwest plumbing to do a simple job in Willeton and they came in to disconnect and grab the payment promising they will be back next day to connect- then got very rude David (should have take it as a redflag) they couldn’t come back and would let us know when. Bad customer service, bad service and bad after service.

Have had quite a few services carried out by Austwest over the years and have always been impressed with their knowledge and efficiency. Exceptionally friendly staff who go above and beyond to complete the work to a very high standard. Highly recommend.
