Because we spend so much of our time in people's attics, basements, barns and sheds we never know what we'll find! Case in point is this beautiful 19th century lithophane found today in Inverurie. A lithophane is a bisque panel which when lit from behind shows a beautifully detailed image. As you'll see from our picture, this one shows a risque (for the time!) Victorian lady. These panels were often put in oil lamps but they also look swell in light boxes as unique decorations.
