What's in a name? Well a lot when it comes to Scottish gold and silver! Up until the 1920s small Scottish towns would produce their own "provincial" silver and gold, not assayed officially but rather marked with just the initials of the maker or a town stamp. Now a days, ABDN (Aberdeen), PHEAD (Peterhead) or INS (Inverness, above) are highly sought after. So if you have jewellery with funny hallmarks or just initials stamped, get in touch...you could have a wee Scottish gold mine!
