I’m booked in for next week but wanted to say that Joe was amazing on the phone. I’ve been on the phone with hairdressers in the area for the last couple of days and completely disappointed with the service… but his genuine nature and transparency about cost and style and the person cutting my hair are what made me book in… I KNOW I’m Going to be happy with my cut. Flipped hair was my first proper hairdresser experience and it's safe to say that I absolutely will not be going back and wouldn't recommend anyone else to go either. The pricing is absolutely ridiculous for the actual results and you end up feeling robbed and upset after your appointment. They don't really listen at all to what you want regardless of whether you say you want a certain thing and it really is disappointing and frustrating. Multiple friends of mine have come to flipped and have been ripped off and completely dissatisfied with the results. When you tell them you don't like the results they try and gaslight you into liking it. FLIPPED IS NOT GOOD DONT GO HERE As a response to Cristina's extremely rude reply, claiming my review is fake and nasty when in actuality I was sharing my raw experience at this salon with others, I appreciate your perspective, and I'd like to address a few points from your message. First, the phone conversation we had after my initial appointment, in which I mentioned my contentment, occurred right after the service. At that moment, I may have been more inclined to express satisfaction. However, as time went on, the more i looked at the results, the more i noticed an orange tinge in my hair which was not there prior to getting my hair dyed, this was due to the hairdresser I had using too warm of a tone on me that looked horrendous under any lighting. When expressing my concerns of this to the owner Cristina, she belittled my concerns by claiming that it was regrowth, however my natural hair colour has never had orange in it ever. The color also did not hold up well, leading to the email I sent later. Regarding the cancellation of my appointment, please understand that life can get busy, and circumstances change, I was also hesitant to go back because of how dreadful my experience was. The fact that I cancelled my appointment does not and should not diminish my valid concerns regarding the service. I understand your position as a small business and the importance of adhering to salon policies. However, from a customer's perspective, it's also essential for a salon to ensure that its clients are satisfied with the services they've received. It's disappointing to feel dissatisfied and then be met with resistance to rectify the situation. While I regret that our experience did not meet my expectations, I still believe that my feedback should be validated. I hope you will consider these points for the better of your services in the future. Shown below was the reference image given to the hairdresser, and the result. First time I’ve ever cut my hair from long to shortish and loved it! I had really long, thin and damaged hair, so decided to chop it off and get a shoulder length “wolf cut”. I thought this time I would go to a decent salon rather than getting a cheap cut as I have done in the past as I wanted to make sure it was done right. I also didn't want to have to style it - I wanted a wash and wear cut. I booked in to see Chris (salon owner) on the recommendation of the lovely guy who took my call and I wasn’t disappointed! She was so lovely and I felt like she really listened to what I wanted. I love my new hair cut, I’ve gone from looking pretty daggy to super modern and I wash it and let it dry naturally and it sits beautifully! Totally awesome and the salon itself was really lovely too. Highly recommend! Edit* I am adding to this review today, 21st Feb 2024 and it should be noted my hair was cut last year in November. I can’t believe my hair is still looking incredible (if I do say so myself 🤣) It still drys naturally into an amazing style every time I wash / wet it. My friends and even strangers have approached me to comment that my hair looks like that of a 70’s rockstar 🤣🤩❤️. As I said in the first part of my review, I usually always regret when I cut my hair (even though it doesn’t look good really long as it’s just too thin - but regardless I’ve never really loved it afterwards and proceed to grow it back out, it was a viscous cycle) and this is literally the first time I have not only NOT regretted it, but can’t wait to have it cut again. But because it’s still looks so good, I don’t need to yet. I don’t mean to be dramatic, but it’s just so refreshing to break the pattern of not feeling happy after a haircut! 🥰 🩷🙏

I’ve been looking for a hairdresser that could recommend something for my hair as I’ve never known what to do with it. Then I came across Flipped Hair and met Cristina who showed so much interest and care into advising me on what would suit me and how to style it. She nailed it! I have never felt so good with my colour and cut that she gave me. I have already booked multiple appointments up til Xmas. So happy I have found my place! Thank you team at Flipped!

I will never go anywhere else to get my hair done. The team is amazing and Cris the owner is a miracle worker. From someone who clearly must be no older than 32, it’s an incredibly impressive establishment

I'm so tired of hairdressers just doing whatever they think is best without checking in with their clients. If someone with a blunt shoulder length cut comes in asking for a trim, maybe don't cut it into a french bob? It's been weeks and I literally wake up every day wanting to cry with how much I hate my hair. I don't want to see people, I don't feel attractive. It's the most horrible unflattering haircut I've ever had, I've never hated my hair so much in my life. It's actually really messed with my self esteem and it's still going to be weeks before it's long enough that I can fix it. Update: they never contacted me. It's been 4 months, my hair is still not as long as I wanted it cut and as it's grown out it's very uneven. Different lengths on each side, and really choppy. Still looks awful, I'll never trust another hairdresser again.

Best salon in the North! Both Julian and Cris were absolutely amazing, they listened to my issues and gave my hair the life it needed. The store looks lovely inside and the customer service is above and beyond x Highly highly recommended 10/10

I have dark brown hair with red undertones but have been blonde for 20+ years so have been to numerous salons over the years. I have always had problems getting the right blonde finish that I want. This is roughly my 4th visit to Flipped Hair & I have never been disappointed. Maddy has nailed my colour & I won't have anyone else do my cut & colour in future. Great salon vibe, everyone is so friendly & the coffee is also pretty good. If you want a great blonde colour definitely get Maddy on to it!
