Big business needs to convince you they do a better job-but they don’t. They employ the same humans. Their trucks pull up next to ours to buy parts where we do. They just have more expenses to charge to you. They pay a fortune to convince you they do something different. They turn the same wrenches in the same direction: “lefty loosey-righty tighty.” Since they buy parts in bulk, they SHOULD charge you less but they don’t! They have all that extra stuff to make YOU pay for.
I do 8 or 10 jobs here-Sales, marketing, accounting, HR, purchasing, reception, etc. And so do the techs. When we were slow, the techs built an addition to our building. The owner also chips in! He doesn’t sit back wasting money to bill you for…He operates forklifts to unload supplies, makes sales calls, teaches OSHA safety and trains less experienced guys. You would never think he is 70! But he's been in this business for 52 years and isn't too important to help!
Big business plays DIRTY! Our competitors charge us list price + markup + Freight and “handling” charges if we have to buy in stock parts from them. They delay calling when parts arrive to slow us down. We don’t make customers wait days for service. WHEN YOUR EQUIPMENT IS DOWN YOUR BUSINESS STOPS UNTIL ITS RUNNING. Big business doesn’t care but WE DO! We know you lose money when you’re down. If we make a mistake, we fix it, adjust the bill, apologize and do what it takes to make it right.
