UPDATE ON BIG BUSINESS-In February we put up our first blog, which was about some of the tactics the competition uses to interfere with our business model and our policy of servicing our customers as quickly as possible to get them back to making money.
Quoting from that blog, "Big business plays DIRTY! Our competitors charge us list price + markup + Freight and “handling” charges if we have to buy in stock parts from them. They delay calling when parts arrive to slow us down. We don’t make customers wait days for service." I have attached photos of exactly what I meant. The part in the photos could have been obtained by us for $6.75. But our competitor knows that where we order parts from (because they buy parts there too) did not list the Brand of Forklift that this part was for, so unless you already have a part number, you cannot look this up to purchase it. So we have to call the "dealer" and get the part from the dealer. List price for this part was $9.36, which is what we should charge our customer. BUT since our competitor can charge us whatever they want, they charged us ALMOST double list price and then charged us double that charge on top for shipping and handling on a part that weighed less than 4 ounces. Then the part was not shipped for 3 days. Let the photos speak for themselves.
