What things should you look out for when choosing an insulin pen ? 👇
💉The exponent U.
U - an indicator indicating the concentration of insulin for which the syringe is intended.
For example, the mark U-100 means that 1 ml of the solution contains 100 units of insulin (100 IU / ml).
💉The division scales.
The division price is the amount of insulin that fits between adjacent divisions of the scale.
For example, syringes with scale 1 means that each division = 1 unit of insulin, with scale 2 means 1 division = 2 units of insulin.
💉Needle length.
The optimal needle size is 6-8 mm. For those for whom this length is not suitable, there are syringes with a 12.7 mm needle.
💉Needle thickness.
It is denoted by the letter G. The larger the G, the thinner the needle. The 31G needle is thinner than the 29G needle. The shorter the needle, the thinner it is.
