UPDATE: After I posted this review Arcane's operations manager did reach out to discuss the situation, and provided a price adjustment. Kudos to Joe for handling that calmly and professionally. Still a word to the wise: if you choose to deal with this company make sure to ask about pricing up front and be clear on their pricing policy. They are not going to volunteer that information as some companies do.
My tenant was locked out late at night and called Arcane for help. In addition to the after after hours service call fee and the inflated charge for a lock (4 x retail price) my tenant was charged $360 for a lockout fee, so the 35 minutes of actual work to dismantle the lock and replace it was charged at the rate of $600 per hour. Tenant was not informed of charges prior to the work being done. Technician claims to be a sub contractor for Arcane but answers one of the Arcane numbers when I call it; no one answers the other. Would love to discuss with Arcane management but can't seem to get past the sub. Unsatisfactory pricing and lack of transparency. Adam K, who gave a 5-star review, is the sub-cobtractor in question and I certainly understand why he is enthused but he is not a customer.
