🔥 How to Make Your Gas Stove Last 10+ Years — Simple Care Tips 🧽🔥

If I had a dollar for every “ruined” stove just because no one ever cleaned it properly — I’d be sipping coffee by the ocean instead of repairing appliances 😄.
But seriously — even top-tier stoves can break down in just a couple of years if you treat them like a rock.

Here’s what I always tell my clients:

1️⃣ Wipe the surface after every use
Not “later” — do it right after cooking. Grease hardens fast, burns in, and eats away at the enamel. I've seen great stoves ruined by this.

2️⃣ Clean the burners weekly
Remove the caps and clean the gas outlets. One client had orange flames and weak heat — it was just dried soup from the week before 🥴.

3️⃣ Check the igniter regularly
If it goes click-click-click but doesn’t light — the electrode might be dirty. Gently clean it with a toothpick. Please don’t use needles — I’ve seen someone snap a contact on a Smeg doing that.

4️⃣ Monthly deep-clean grates and trays
Soak them in hot water with vinegar or lemon acid. Avoid aggressive scrubbing — enamel doesn’t forgive scratches.

5️⃣ Inspect the hose and connections
Especially on older stoves. Even if all seems fine, have a pro check it yearly. Gas issues are never worth the risk.

Treat your stove well — and it’ll reward you with years of perfect cooking.
