Appalachian Ink & Ruby Piercing

My family loves Appalachian Ink and Ruby. My husband and I started there with an infinity tattoo. His was simple and bold, mine delicate and fine lined. They both turned out perfectly! So when my son turned 18 a few months ago and was ready for his first tattoo…there was no other place we wanted him to go. Jimmy did an amazing job. The details were absolutely insane and he nailed everything that my son wanted to accomplish. Today we went back for more. My husband got an incredible wolf and it’s so perfect and boldly detailed. I had Ash today and she did an amazing job on my memorial piece. I wanted a simple name written in my daddy’s handwriting. She was so supportive and comforting during the process. We never want to go anywhere else! Any time someone asks about tattoos- we will 100% continue recommending Appalachian Ink and will keep on getting more amazing work done by their artists.

Had the best time with Ash! She did an amazing job on my leg tattoo and made the whole process so smooth. I definitely recommend this shop! Great vibes all around!

After getting a tattoo in Jackson county and being reassured by the artist that he could do it... It was a total mess, I wanted a hand tattoo of a rose with bone fingers. It came out looking terrible! I got so many comments of how bad it looked I was ashamed. I contacted Alex over Facebook and set up a consultation with her upon arriving she looked at my hand and told me she would like her dad to look at it. She said she was not sure at the stage she was at in tattooing if she would be able to rework it and make it look correct.. that alone set my mind at ease as she was being honest with me. Chris her father came over and looked at it and asked me when I wanted to do it I told him Saturday he told me what time to be there. From the time I walked into the shop to the time I left which was approximately almost 5 hours I got treated with the utmost respect and dignity it being on my hand and near the cuticle it was very painful as I'm sure you can imagine and Chris was so compassionate and understanding. Then to beat it all he only charged me a very minimal fee for a 4-Hour tattoo fix.. I also got a tattoo that day from his daughter Alex which I absolutely love and I will probably be going next week to get another one. I have found my forever tattoo shop and my forever artist between Chris and Alex or anyone there in that shop I am told is amazing as I've seen all of their work. I 100% recommend Appalachian and Ruby piercing to anyone looking for a tattoo or a cover-up Chris can do amazing things with bad tattoos. Thanks again guys you really helped me out. I must say, I love Tim, anytime I wanna change my piercing he’s always there to do it. He’s the most friendliest, humorous person,I’ve ever met. He’s honest and straightforward about everything. And he is sterile. I brought my daughter in to get two piercings and he did a great job. She was also very pleased with his services as well. So any haters out there hating on Tim, they’re gonna look stupid. Because Tim has a lot of good reviews. 😊

It's been over a year since I've gotten my sleeve finished by Dez. She did amazing & I'm so proud to have this tattoo! The colors still pop & the shading is absolutely incredible!

I had my tragus pierced here, I've gotten a tattoo here, I've had my teens nostril pierced here and my 10 year olds second lobe piercing completed here. Everyone we've worked with or had the pleasure of meeting have been very nice and helpful. The placement for all piercings have been spot on and healing has been easy. The prices are great and I love that they will change out jewelry for no additional cost. My prior piercer would charge a minimum of $30 just to change out jewelry. I would definitely recommend this shop. Thank you Tina, Chris, Tim & Anna!

My wife and I wanted complimenting tattoos during an anniversary vacation in the mountains. We saw this place and called ahead on Thursday for a Friday appointment. It was my first and my wife's fifth tattoo. Jess was incredibly helpful through the design and tattooing process, and was just a cool person to hang out with for a while. All around best experience for both of us, 10/10 would recommend.

Tim is hands down the only piercer I trust. He has done my nose, my septum, and my chest. Each piercing has healed beautifully and had minimal pain (He will explain proper care and cleaning, just listen to him). He’s also kind, and I’m comfortable making jokes with him. He will be honest with you if a particular piercing you want is not a good idea, (This is actually very important for a piercer to do) I respect somebody that is professional enough to care about their clients more than making a dollar. If you have trouble with a piercing, you can go back and see him and he will help you. He just removed a VERY stuck septum ring for me that was entirely too small and causing me a LOT of pain (which was completely my own fault for forcing the very small ring to close). Anybody saying Tim isn’t professional or kind should probably just go to Claire’s for their next piercing since they want bubbly fake smiles. I came into the shop today (08/11/2024). I was wanting an Indian for my 30th birthday. I was very impressed on how short notice I had arrived and how I was treated. Chris immediately was super helpful and explained for me to send a picture to him of what I wanted. Just like that within 15mins I was in his booth and he was beginning my tattoo. I was highly impressed with how clean everything was, how down to earth everyone was. By far one of my best experiences at a tattoo shop (as I have several tattoos). Also it just seemed meant to be as there was not one song from the time I walked in to the time I was done that I did not know. Best play list, hands down. I highly recommend these guys. Fair priced, wonderful work, nothing could have been different, & if I’m ever back in the area I’m making a return trip for sure!

I have gotten many tattoos from here! Such good work, everyone is very talented. Chris fixed a crappy cover up when he was doing another tattoo on me and I was VERY pleased. I've gotten so many of their $40-$60 flash tattoos, I will forever come here for my tattoos. Also have gotten a couple piercings from here and they are so professional and accurate, it's practically painless!!
