It's been over a year since I've gotten my sleeve finished by Dez. She did amazing & I'm so proud to have this tattoo! The colors still pop & the shading is absolutely incredible!

After getting a tattoo in Jackson county and being reassured by the artist that he could do it... It was a total mess, I wanted a hand tattoo of a rose with bone fingers. It came out looking terrible! I got so many comments of how bad it looked I was ashamed. I contacted Alex over Facebook and set up a consultation with her upon arriving she looked at my hand and told me she would like her dad to look at it. She said she was not sure at the stage she was at in tattooing if she would be able to rework it and make it look correct.. that alone set my mind at ease as she was being honest with me. Chris her father came over and looked at it and asked me when I wanted to do it I told him Saturday he told me what time to be there. From the time I walked into the shop to the time I left which was approximately almost 5 hours I got treated with the utmost respect and dignity it being on my hand and near the cuticle it was very painful as I'm sure you can imagine and Chris was so compassionate and understanding. Then to beat it all he only charged me a very minimal fee for a 4-Hour tattoo fix.. I also got a tattoo that day from his daughter Alex which I absolutely love and I will probably be going next week to get another one. I have found my forever tattoo shop and my forever artist between Chris and Alex or anyone there in that shop I am told is amazing as I've seen all of their work. I 100% recommend Appalachian and Ruby piercing to anyone looking for a tattoo or a cover-up Chris can do amazing things with bad tattoos. Thanks again guys you really helped me out. Awesome shop. The whole fam went in to get pierced and a little flash tattoo also. Everyone was fun and made the atmosphere absolutely enjoyable! We all freaking love what we got!! Definitely recommend this shop!

I came into the shop today (08/11/2024). I was wanting an Indian for my 30th birthday. I was very impressed on how short notice I had arrived and how I was treated. Chris immediately was super helpful and explained for me to send a picture to him of what I wanted. Just like that within 15mins I was in his booth and he was beginning my tattoo. I was highly impressed with how clean everything was, how down to earth everyone was. By far one of my best experiences at a tattoo shop (as I have several tattoos). Also it just seemed meant to be as there was not one song from the time I walked in to the time I was done that I did not know. Best play list, hands down. I highly recommend these guys. Fair priced, wonderful work, nothing could have been different, & if I’m ever back in the area I’m making a return trip for sure!

I had my tragus pierced here, I've gotten a tattoo here, I've had my teens nostril pierced here and my 10 year olds second lobe piercing completed here. Everyone we've worked with or had the pleasure of meeting have been very nice and helpful. The placement for all piercings have been spot on and healing has been easy. The prices are great and I love that they will change out jewelry for no additional cost. My prior piercer would charge a minimum of $30 just to change out jewelry. I would definitely recommend this shop. Thank you Tina, Chris, Tim & Anna!

The owner did my tattoos, and talked badly about every single tattoo shop in Haywood county and Jackson county. Being from Haywood county, and covered in tattoos from local artists, that upset me. The owner repeatedly said “We made our flash designs ourselves. We have a lot of creative artists.” A few days later, I look on Amazon and I find every single flash tattoo they promoted in a sticker pack. I immediately became disgusted, and hate the tattoos that are on my body forever. It’s one thing to admit you borrowed the designs, but it’s bad when you talk down other shops, and lie. I was very impressed with the clean environment, though.

My daughter was so nervous about getting her ears pierced (even though she really wanted it done) that we put it off for a solid two years. Chose Appalachian Ink & Ruby Piercing based on a gut feeling alone. I volunteered to get a piercing first so my daughter could observe the process, but she was still nearly in tears by the time it was her turn in the chair. Tim's demeanor was perfect for her--kind, calm and soft-spoken, but with a touch of silliness, which put her at ease. He explained how the piercing would work and demonstrated endless patience with her barrage of nervous questions. He talked her through everything and had it done before she even knew it. 110 percent recommend Tim and this shop as a whole. Our piercings healed quickly with no issues--and I'm a bonafide new member of Tim's cult following. I joke, but am serious when I tell you to have no reservations about going here. You will not find a better piercer in this town--or beyond...

My wife and I wanted complimenting tattoos during an anniversary vacation in the mountains. We saw this place and called ahead on Thursday for a Friday appointment. It was my first and my wife's fifth tattoo. Jess was incredibly helpful through the design and tattooing process, and was just a cool person to hang out with for a while. All around best experience for both of us, 10/10 would recommend.

Tim did a wonderful job on my nose piercing today!!! I would definitely recommend coming here the atmosphere is absolutely amazing!!! Definitely would return!!!
