I was admitted here for hip replacement surgery. The surgery went well thanks to the experienced doctor and anesthesia doctor, and I was later moved to a deluxe room. However, I had a very bad experience with a male nurse named Mohammed. He didn’t know how to give an IV injection properly He jabbed the needle so fast it felt like an electric shock, causing unbearable pain. I didnt say anything. Later, my doctor informed me that a painkiller injection would be available at night if needed. Around 11:00 PM, when my pain started, I called the nurse. Mohammed came and told me there was no painkiller injection. I was in severe pain the entire night. I called him twice again, and each time he repeated that there was no update from the doctor. At 5 AM, I demanded to see the duty doctor. The doctor confirmed the injection was available and gave it immediately. When I questioned Mohammed in front of the doctor, he rudely walked out of the room without answering. I reported this to the head nurse, but she backed him up and said he’s a new intern. This is absolutely unacceptable. We are not lab animals for interns to “learn” on. We pay lakhs for proper care and professional service—not to be ignored and treated with disrespect. On top of that, for an 8-floor hospital, having only two ward boys is a joke. I had to wait nearly 20 minutes just to go to the restroom. Canteen food is average. Doctors are excellent, and most nurses are good, but Mohammed’s behaviour was shameful, and the head nurse defending him is even worse. This kind of service is a disgrace to a reputed hospital like Apollo.I really hope the management takes this seriously.

I was admitted to Apollo Spectra Hospitals, Chennai, from 2nd November to 5th November 2025 for left knee surgery. My hospitalization was an overwhelmingly positive experience, exceeding all expectations set by previous reviews and personal anticipations. The entire team of supporting staff were always friendly and cheerful, radiating positivity and making every day more comfortable. Their smiles, promptness, and encouraging attitude played a vital role in creating a welcoming and stress-free environment. Before my admission, I had read earlier reviews about the hospital and some staff members, which had left me with mixed expectations. It is important to note that reviews can sometimes be shaped by isolated incidents or constraints. However, my direct experience was outstanding and far removed from such concerns. Every staff member went above and beyond, demonstrating patience, care, and courtesy throughout my stay.I want to especially stress the unmatched dedication of the nursing staff. I would like to single out Nijas Mohammed, the only male nurse who attended to me—he was always caring, supportive, and attentive to my needs. The rest of the nursing team, including Kalpana, Aparna, and Lokeswari, were equally professional, patient, and unfailingly supportive. Their coordinated teamwork, attention to detail, and compassion made a world of difference to my recovery. The nurses' cheerful approach and genuine concern, day and night, were beyond compare. Duty Dr. Mr. Naufil provided expert care and frequent communication, always taking the time to ensure clarity and reassurance. Vignesh and Jonny in the support team made my operating theater transfers seamless and brought comfort just when I needed it most. Special appreciation must go to physiotherapist Evanjelin, whose expertise and guidance on post-operative care were invaluable. She identified the lack of a necessary stool (a seat that does not have a back or arms) in my room—something others had missed—and promptly arranged for one, ensuring my comfort and safety given my restricted knee mobility. Dr. Dinesh L (Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon) and Dr. Mohan (Anesthesiologist) both exhibited remarkable professionalism, clarity, and empathy, making the entire surgical process smooth and reassuring. Overall, Apollo Spectra's focus on hygiene, coordinated care, and a spirit of kindness made my stay truly memorable. My experience was nothing short of exceptional, and I am grateful to every member of the hospital team for their dedication.
