This home owner had the misfortune of having a house on a slab with a huge maple tree about 40 feet away from the drainpipe entering underneath the concrete slab. The sixty year old cast iron pipe is in bad condition. What was two tiny roots entered a small hole in the pipe and continued to grow for decades. notice that two roots are coming in on the right side and only one coming out on the left.
