Apex Roofing was easy to work with to schedule and work with. They worked quickly and when finished they cleaned up leaving no evidence they were there except for their repair job. We are very happy to have chosen Apex Roofing.

Apex installed a gutter system on my pergola and did an outstanding job! They performed the job quickly and left the area clean when done. I had one minor issue that needed to be addressed and they came up with a satisfactory solution. Everyone was especially helpful & thorough with the follow up. Hats off to Andrew/John for running such a top notch company!

Apex Roofing was top quality from start to finish. The roof replacement estimator was thorough and helpful, pointing out things I hadn't noticed and unanticipated options that were available. The team in the office were all easy to reach when I had questions. They went out of their way to obtain the unusual color I chose from another state. The workmanship was superior; my best friend is a retired carpenter and watched the whole job, saying what a high-quality project they were doing. Everyone was respectful and kind. The roof looks absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend Apex.

Update: 04/25 We've had a mixed experience with Apex. The staff were friendly as well as the crew on the day of the job. That crew had to replace 12 plywood sheets, but chose not to replace other plywood sheets because they were still in good condition. A few weeks later we noticed major lines in the roof, so we emailed them, and they've been working with us (weeks of emails) to figure this out. They sent someone to review it both in the attic and outside. They said that the seams between plywood sheets were uneven and suggested wood bracing in the attic. That didn't work. They also suggested replacing the plywood and installing H clips. They said they didn't replace the entire roof deck the day of, and didn't use H clips between the plywood sheets because typically this is only done in entire roof deck replacements, and that's expensive. Our main issue is that we were not asked or advised of this issue the day of the install, which we're not happy about. So, the lines are still there. The only option left, that may or may not work, is to replace the front roof deck with new plywood - even though the old plywood is still good. They'd charge us an additional $2,400, but only for the plywood for this fix as they'll take care of the shingles, but I don't think we or they are sure it's going to work. So overall, we don't feel like we had the necessary information before or during this whole process, as we're getting all the explanation after the fact. So our roof keeps looking like the pics below, we don't feel like it's a good look for a 10K job on our new house. We're not the happiest, but we'll have to deal with it.

EDIT February 2026. I am STILL VERY HAPPY about the roof repair. It has been a few months since APEX repaired a 5 year old leak (done by someone else) on my roof. It has been rainy and snowy lately and the snow is lingering on the roof and slowly melting and dripping into the gutters. This is the weather that used to make me cringe going into that one area of the house. I went in their last night, and out of old habit, I looked and listened for the leaks that used to require buckets to catch the drips. But this time no drips, no nothing, just silence. I hadn't been feeling that great about being snowed in, but not having to deal with those leaks was a real boost to my spirits. Again, THANK YOU APEX ROOFING, LLC ! Original review --Satisfied from start to finish. Our roof (installed by someone else) was only 10 years old but one low-slope section had leaks for a few years. Apex came out, did an inspection, showed me the likely causes of the leaks, and presented several options. We worked together to get a solution that worked best for our situation: a repair, instead of a replacement. We did our best to specify everything in writing before the job began. Coming up with changes after a job starts can be a pain for all involved. The technician who came to do the repair had over 20 years of experience and was a real artist at weaving the new shingles into the older shingles to get a leak-free transition from old to new. He used the special materials and techniques specified by the shingle manufacturer for low slope roofs. You don't see that level of attention to detail very often. We are totally satisfied with the project and hope that it will last for the life of the original shingles. I will recommend Apex Roofing, LLC (Charlottesville) with confidence.

Apex installed snow cleats on several ribs of my metal roof. After we got a historic ice storm in Charlottesville, a few of the cleats came off the roof along with an 8 inch thick sleet of ice. I reached out to Apex and told them I was not happy with the situation. To my surprise, Andrew contacted me very promptly and offered to come inspect what had happened and to rectify the situation. He showed up and was very professional and offered to reinstall the snow cleats free of charge. This is a great sign of an honest business that stands by their work and guarantees a quality product. I would be happy to hire them again for future work.

Andrew and his team at Apex roofing exceeded my expectation! Im building my new home, reached out to get a quote for shingles and metal porch roofing. Top notch work. The estimator was very thorough and pleasant to listen to. He took detailed pictures and explained them well. Workers understood what and how to accomplish repairs on 130 year old house. Also pleasant to have on our job. Timely completed. Can’t wait to see how it all works with a big rain.

Reasonably priced, quick service, and the crew left no trace of being there, cleaned up all materials they replaced. They worked with me on scheduling around my work schedule and were so friendly! I would highly recommend them for any roofing needs! Not to mention they are locally owned and operated and I love supporting our local businesses!
