From the first contact Josh and his team were brilliant. Builds can be stressful, particularly with children, however apart from the usual minor things, which were sorted swiftly, it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. I had someone on site every single day of the 8 weeks it took to complete my loft. Josh adapted to my many requests, patiently! And it was worth it, our loft is incredibly and better than expected. Great team of builders and trades, all top class and the finish speaks for itself. Thanks team Apex!

Apex completed our loft extension within schedule and within budget and we are delighted with the results! We faced a number of challenges common with renovations of old properties, but Apex took these in their stride and were very efficient at resolving any issues we encountered along the way. Communication throughout the build was fantastic. Josh and his team were all polite, friendly and professional and were all very sympathetic to working around our toddler, who was always very excited to see them in the morning. Thanks to the whole Apex team, we would highly recommend.

We have recently had a second floor extension added to our bungalow, adding two bedrooms and a bathroom - Brighton. Overall we have found Josh from Apex and his team to be brilliant and we highly recommend!! Their tender was competitive, not the cheapest we obtained but having met Josh in person, researching online, reviews and seeing their current active jobs on social media etc. they were chosen. Speaking with our Architect after we accepted Apex tender, he actually had a job ongoing with them at the time (which we did not know) - this put us at ease with his comments on their workmanship and quality. The structure of the invoice payment process is easy to follow. The first two guys on site in the first few weeks, Dave and Charlie were fab! Total trust in having access to our house when out, cleared up after themselves, was wary of our little cat following them around etc. The team throughout have been professional, polite and it took only approx 9 weeks from start to finish to complete the project.. You hear horror stories of some lofts taking 7+months! Any questions I had on the project throughout (which was a lot haha) Josh, Brian etc. would answer or pop over to see me when I was home. We organised our own plumbing, electrics and scaffolding via our own firms/friends, and Josh was happy for them to work alongside. We decided to decorate ourselves, however do wish we used Apex to do the decoration as it would have been done and dusted much quicker. Apex organised the tiler for the bathroom, we chose / purchased the tiles for them to fit part of the project. We had some changes to the plans which Josh helped us with, he gave us options for the style of windows, tiles, banister etc. Minor moans to give a honest review: - clearing up after scaffold came down with a fair bit of nails/debris/rubble that was left for us to deal with. - a couple snagging items to be done which took a few weeks of chasing to get sorted. - there was a tile issue with our neighbour (which I understand was sorted direct with next door). However these would not be complaints nor would stop us at all using again or recommending. I would be happy to be a reference for Apex, and give more in depth / personal feedback on the project, share pictures throughout the build to anyone wanting to use them - Josh can approach me anytime for this. We absolutely love the outcome of our house extension :)

The whole team were professional, reliable, and kept everything on track. Communication throughout the build was excellent, I was always kept informed and felt reassured at every stage. Apex transformed our 2 bed detached bungalow into a 4 bed chalet bungalow with a large loft extension. Works included pitching a new roof and building a full length 10m dormer. Apex project managed all the works and tradesmen effectively and completed on time and to the agreed budget, subject to only minor changes which were discussed in advance.

I am a property developer from Brighton and have used many builders over the years. Josh (Apex) are the best builders we’ve ever used and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again. A lot of builders out there will quote low to get the work, then add extras making the overall development expensive with nasty surprises. We had none of that with Apex. It was straightforward, honest, fast, competitively priced, high quality work and they kept to timelines. It was an absolute pleasure working with Apex.

I would wholeheartedly recommend these guys. The quality of Josh, Dan and their team's workmanship speaks for itself and they have a great team of local professionals they partner with to make sure that you're getting the right trades in to do the right individual jobs. We had a BIG loft conversion done and the quality of the build is fantastic and the speed with which the project was complete was excellent. However, I think the main thing that sets these guys a part goes beyond workmanship. They are good at managing projects, handling client expectations, troubleshooting and keeping everything on track, which is hard to find with builders. With a big project like we had done, I'm sure a lot of trades people could get you through the other side to a finished build BUT managing all the little elements along the way and keeping everyone happy takes quality builders, project management skills and people who know how to run a business. Everyone knows having building work done can be stressful but I'm so pleased we went with Apex as the whole process was really hassle free. 110% recommend from us. Thanks guys :)

Apex virtually reconfigured the whole of our bungalow and added a loft room. Thanks to Josh and his team we have ended up with a home that we love. Josh was extremely helpful with navigating the initial design, dealing with the architects and building control.

Apex Lofts and Construction renovated our house from top to bottom and did a brilliant job. What they did Damp proofing and insulation throughout New kitchen fitted from bare walls up New bathroom with all fixtures and tiling Three new skylights installed and made watertight Full painting and decorating inside Quality of work The finish is clean and solid. Walls are straight, joins are neat, tiles are even, and the skylights don’t leak (even in heavy rain). The kitchen units are level and the doors line up perfectly. They clearly take pride in the details. Project management They turned up when they said they would, kept the site tidy, and coordinated all the trades so we weren’t left waiting around. Any changes were explained in plain English with options and costs before they did anything. Communication Easy to reach, quick replies, and regular updates with photos. If something wasn’t possible, they said so and offered sensible alternatives. Time & budget They stuck close to the schedule and the final bill matched the agreed quotes, apart from a couple of extras we asked for (priced fairly and agreed in advance). Respect for our home Floors covered, tools packed away each day, and neighbours kept happy. Rubbish was removed, not left for us to deal with. Aftercare They came back promptly for a small snag list and sorted it without fuss. Bottom line Reliable, skilled, and straight-talking. If you want your house done properly, use Apex Lofts and Construction. We’re very happy with the result and would hire them again without hesitation.
