Update: After I expressed my frustration in my original review, the manager immediately reached out to me to apologize for the bad experience, and even went to reschedule me for an appointment, which was truly unexpected. During my visit this time, the therapist was very detail-oriented and paid attention to every part of my body. This is a massage that would make me come back for another one. The receptionist also told me that their boss had a chat with them to address my concerns from the last visit, making me feel heard. Overall, I felt that my needs and feedback as a customer was really taken care of, and the management team truly do prioritize the customers. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience this time.
Original review: Not a great experience. My massage today was a 60 min aromatic massage, and the masseur did not hit a single spot that I was sore. She kept rubbing my back and my head, but at times so light and at times so hard, like a broken water faucet that runs hot and cold unpredictably. When the massage ended, I checked the clock and it shows 5:53, which is 7 minutes short of my 60 minutes. But when I asked the receptionist, she said that the record shows that the timer is correct on their end. But what doesn’t make sense to me is that, my appointment starts at 5, so there’s no world where it isn’t apparent that 5:00 plus 60 minutes would be anything less than 6:00.
Confused, I drank my tea after the massage, when all of a sudden two men opened the door to my room. I was dumbfounded, as I was wearing only a bathrobe without clothes underneath. They apologized and hesitated before closing the door again, as we stared at each other awkwardly for a full second. The receptionist was eager to apologize and give me a 10% credit off my bill, but that’s not what’s most important. I paid my bill then reiterated again (paid first so they don’t think I complain because I want more discount) that the end time of the massage just didn’t make sense to me even though she mentioned the alarm went off (likely it’s set much earlier before I started) and that I didn’t enjoy the massage.
