The condition of the equipment here is honestly disappointing and it really affects the overall workout experience. As shown in the photo, some of the weight plates have their rubber coating peeling off and damaged, which makes them uncomfortable and even unsafe to handle. I also noticed a few barbells starting to show signs of rust, which shouldn’t be the case for a gym that’s regularly used.
On top of that, the layout is quite cramped. Equipment is placed too close together, leaving very little space to move around, especially during peak hours. It gets extremely crowded all the way until midnight, and I often find myself waiting around just for the crowd to clear before I can properly train.
The only reason I still come here is because it’s the nearest gym to my home. I really wish there were more spacious and better maintained gym options in Punggol, because right now the choices are very limited.
Staffs are decent and smiling at times but only show interest if approached.
Overall, meh.
