Don’t rely on older reviews—look at the most recent ones. If any tandoori item is unavailable, they should simply say it’s “over", but they will marinate then and there and give which will taste chewy. Also the sitting area and all is full dirty, like when people eat after that it fall on floor, but they will just clean the table and leave it in down, Overall, the quality has gone down, mainly due to poor management. The wait times are extremely long, and there’s no proper coordination. Some dishes are still good, but the real issue shows up during public holidays. When visitors from other cities come in, everything falls apart. Logically, a hill-station restaurant in Ooty should expect crowds during such times and be at its best on these peak days. Attaching pictures of left over chicken as we are not able to eat.

With many non vegetarian restaurants around ooty, this is the only one that serves good food and cleanliness. Though very crowded on weekends and cleanliness can be improved with help of customers. Their special chicken curry was tasty and must try, but little spicy. The quantity is unexpected and sufficient for 2 people. Will come back for more.

Food was good. But attitude of waiter was worst. He was not even ready to listen to us. Customer service was pathetic. Veg options were limited. When we asked for veg briyani or egg biryani, he mentioned that it will have same chicken rice. Waster bottle they had kept was in bad condition.

Angaara offers a good dining experience overall. The Butter Garlic Prawns were absolutely out of this world — a must-try! While the rest of the dishes were quite good, it was disappointing that none of the items from their Arabic menu were available during my visit. Still, a place worth visiting for tasty food and solid service.

The Ambience is nice but the food is below average. The expectations with the brand name for food is done not reached. Need improvement in the taste. We have ordered fried rice which tastes like normal white rice only.

Visited this place recently and had a mixed experience. We started off with a few appetizers - they were okay, nothing that really stood out. But the main course was a bit of a letdown, especially the Paneer Angara. It just didn’t hit the mark, the flavours felt off and it lacked that balance you’d expect from the dish. That said, not everything was a miss! The Lemon Coriander Soup was honestly the highlight of the meal. Super refreshing and packed with flavour definitely something I’d recommend trying if you visit. Overall, an average experience with a couple of bright spots.
