At Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, we have successfully completed a helicopter trial landing on our elevated rooftop helipad - officially making North India’s first and largest hospital helipad fully operational.
This successful test landing marks the final validation of our structural integrity, aviation safety systems, landing parameters, and seamless patient transfer readiness. With formal clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), our 28-metre-diameter helipad - built to support aircraft up to 5,700 kg — is now ready for day VFR (Visual Flight Rules) air-ambulance operations.
This advanced infrastructure enables us to transfer critically ill and trauma patients directly from helicopter touchdown to our emergency units, operating theatres, ICUs, and transplant services — significantly reducing response time when every second matters.
This milestone has been achieved through close coordination with government and regulatory authorities, with key support from the Government of Haryana.
