Part 2: Isaac and Roger recently installed a new backflow on a job in Leander. Not all irrigation valves are installed this way, but this one was done correctly. It’s properly insulated and includes isolation valves, drain valves, and unions, which allow the valve to be fully drained and even removed if needed. This setup greatly reduces the risk of freeze damage. In this video, we walk through the exact process we use to winterize above-ground irrigation valves and prepare sprinkler systems for freezing weather.
