A little story behind the photo.
We received a call from a new customer who was referred by a friend and requested a quote to replace his compressor. I asked a simple but important question: How do you know the compressor needs replacement?
(It’s worth noting the compressor was still under manufacturer warranty.)
The customer explained that another technician had visited because the system wasn’t cooling and diagnosed the compressor as “burned.”
Before placing any order, I told the customer I would need to inspect the system in person to confirm the diagnosis.
After completing a full set of tests on-site, it became clear that the compressor was not the issue, it was functioning properly. The real issue was a failed capacitor.
What initially seemed like a $1,500–$2,000 repair was resolved with a standard service call and a new capacitor—around $300-$350 total.
Unfortunately, there are technicians who take advantage of homeowners. That’s why we always recommend getting a second opinion.
You can always call us. We believe honesty builds long-term customers, and we would rather earn your trust than make a quick profit.
