HURRICANE SEASON IS HERE!
We know many of you are new to Florida and might be feeling overwhelmed. Don’t panic. We're Florida natives and have been through many hurricanes—we've got you covered. ✅
💡 Be Safe. Be Prepared. Be Watchful.
Most people don’t think about hurricanes until they’re right on the doorstep—then it’s a scramble for supplies, gas, and water. The best thing you can do? Plan ahead.
👇 Here’s our tried-and-true guide to storm prep. Please SHARE with friends & neighbors—especially those new to the area.
🛑 POOL FENCE
Leave it up until an official storm warning. Once a warning is issued, take it down. If left up, the poles can snap and become dangerous projectiles.
🪟 SHUTTERS & IMPACT WINDOWS
If you have full hurricane-impact windows, you're in great shape!
Otherwise, wait until a Tropical Storm or Hurricane Warning before installing shutters—unless you have difficult ones that take time. Charge your power tools now!
🚿 WATER
Fill bathtubs (for flushing toilets).
Fill jugs or 5-gallon coolers for drinking water.
No need to stockpile bottled water—just be prepared early.
🥫 FOOD
Some frozen food is fine, but focus on non-perishables.
Cook fridge/freezer items early if a storm is coming.
A grill (gas or charcoal) can be a lifesaver.
⛽ GAS
Fill your car. Don’t hoard gas cans unless you have a generator.
Pro Tip: Wait until 2 days before the storm when stations are typically restocked.
