We loved our time here, in particular the hosts. They were very welcoming and worked hard to make everyone’s stay comfortable. Delicious home cooked Italian food! Powerful and spacious showers. Clean bedroom. Lovely communal spaces including a garden with a beautiful hill, walking up the hill to make it is worth it!

Highly recommend! I got in a bit late and the host kindly added me to the communal dinner right away which was delicious (the pasta was so good!) and also let me wash down my bike with the hose and keep it inside for the night. Super thoughtful and modern Albergue design and amazing showers! Thank you Casa de Carmen!

A sacred space to add to your Camino journey! Greeted with such warmth, big smiles and the most gorgeous location to rejuvenate after a big day on the trail. Thank you so much for having us & for providing myself and my pilgrim amigos a place that’s much more than a bed ~ a relaxing space, delicious food, clean facilities & most importantly friendly faces. BUEN Camino! X

Beautifully located and thus expensive. The casa is for pilgrims and run by mostly guest workers. It has ok service, but the price is really high for what they provide. 15 Euro for a plate of Pasta, a small bowl of fries and a factory yogurt... 5 Euros for a coffee, an egg and three pieces of toast. Also there were many glass shards in the yard, which I told the workers about, me going around barefoot. Still there the next morning :/ The building itself is clean, also the bathroom and the staff that was there at the time very friendly. My highlight was the natural fountain with fresh, clean water direct from nature! :)

I felt in love in this albergue. Not the cheapest one but definitely worth the money. The hospitaleros were amazing especially Alberto, he made the stay very special - muchos gracias for that. They have board games, guitar, huge garden, fountain for your legs. I have to also recommend the evening swim in the pool during the sunset. I am sure you won’t regret staying up pocito longer. Definitely will come back.

Casa de Carmen is an amazing Albergue. Beautiful garden; wonderful hosts; great food; spacious accommodation with lots of little touches that showed how much they understood the needs of pilgrims. So happy that I stayed here on my camino.

The place is great. Clean bathrooms, toilets and bedrooms. The owners are very nice people. It is located outside Sarria near the church of Santiago Barbadello. The place is a fabulous oasis in which to rest after a long day of walking or to start your journey from there. One day I will come back again. Greetings from Bulgaria!

The previous Albergue closed and the new one has been taken over by a pilgrim from Italia and his partner. And what a beautiful place that is ! I felt welcome the moment I stepped in. The Albergue is surrounded by green fields and flowers, the owners made me feel at home right when I arrived, and the food they prepared for us was absolutely delicious + the dorms were so clean you could eat on the floor if you wanted to (please don’t). Do yourself a favor, don’t stay in soulless Sarria instead walk a bit more and come discover this magical location. Grazie again, I will be back. 🫶🏻
