🔥 No Heat Call – Problem Solved! 🔧
Got a call today for no heat on a Goodman electric air handler. Customer had both thermostats calling, but no heat coming on.
After digging in, we found the issue wasn’t the heat strips or the air handler—it was the zone control. The Honeywell HZ311 zone panel wasn’t energizing heat on the equipment side, even though both zones were calling.

âś… Confirmed both thermostats were calling for heat
âś… Checked dampers (all open)
❌ No heat signal leaving the zone panel
That led us straight to the culprit—the zone board.
Once identified, we were able to get a game plan in place and get the customer back on track.
💡 Lesson: When you’ve got multiple zones calling but no equipment response, don’t overlook that zone panel—it’s the traffic cop of the whole system.
If your heat isn’t keeping up, don’t guess—get it checked the right way.
