I grew up in ABQ seeing balloons all the time, worked at Balloon Fiesta, have some experience chasing, but this was my first ever flight. Art and the crew went over safety before launch, the interactive, hands-on opportunities to help the crew, the weather, and what we may expect to see in flight. The set-up and pre-flight were impressive: watching the crew roll out the envelope and seeing the scale of it compared to the people around it really made an impression. There's a big thrill when the burners fire for the first time in the pre-dawn twilight and another when it's time to start heating the cold-inflated envelope. Setting off is incredibly smooth: once ready and at the pilot's command the crew lets slip the tether and we gently glide away. As we climb above the bosque we can see rays of sun around the Sandias before we rise into the light ourselves. We had a full gondola and Art was great at pointing out areas of interest and wildlife. Some critters completely ignored us as we passed silently overhead while others barked to tell us to get out of their sky. After about forty-five minutes we landed smoothly using a quiet road as a runway. The chase crew met us on the ground and there were more opportunities to help the crew pack up before we returned to the rendezvous point for a champagne toast. Overall it was an incredible experience and I can really understand how people get so hooked on it. On my flight there were customers who'd been returning for four years!

Amazing experience from start to finish. The pilot Art and the crew were very friendly, knowledgeable, and made you feel like family. You had opportunities to help as you wanted to with the balloon. The scenery was picturesque with the sun shining across the mountains. Couldn’t ask for a better summer morning!

We had a wonderful time with them. Art and his team are very professional and funny. He made us feel very comfortable in the trip. I wasn’t scared at any moment and our landing was very smooth. I would definitely do it again. The landscape is unbelievable beautifully. 10:10

My wife and I booked Air Carriage for our 19 year anniversary date. We had a great time. Art was super fun to go up with and an excellent balloonist. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time this morning! The captain and crew were all so friendly and helpful. I wish I had gotten all their names but they were wonderful in taking care of us. The ride was amazing and the views incredible. I felt very safe and confident we were in good hands. We enjoyed the mimosas and a little balloon history and then ended with a little Irish blessing to send us on our way. I would definitely recommend this company!

We went during the balloon fiesta. Such a great experience! Loved the captain and the crew. You'll be up in the air anywhere between 45 min-1 hour. They'll show you your flight path and stats if you want to know them (how fast you were going, altitude, etc) at the end. I tend to be afraid of certain heights. After the briefing and once we were in the air I felt confident about our safety and wasn't scared at all. It's so peaceful! As you land you get to help pack it all up and that was fun to me, too! I love being part of the crew! After it's all packed up they will bus you back to your start location. (Photos taken with a DSLR)

Art and his crew know how to make 5am amazing. Brilliant experience, definitely something to do when coming to New Mexico. Art’s love of ballooning is bigger than the balloon itself. 5 stars, would give more if I could.

we had such a great time! beautiful views and a wonderful crew who made our trip even more enjoyable. felt very safe and they allowed you to be a part of the set up/ take down experience. ended with mimosas!
