Sometimes the best work is the kind you don’t notice.
When everything is done right, your eye doesn’t stop on any one detail — it just takes in the room as a whole. The colors match, the lines feel right, and everything simply belongs.
For this bathroom, I installed a new upgraded toilet and lavatory sink. The homeowner’s father was a painting contractor, and she inherited his eye for color. That meant the replacement fixtures had to match the existing palette perfectly. Close wasn’t good enough.
I spent the extra time tracking down fixtures that blended seamlessly with the existing tile and finishes. It was a fun challenge — but the best part was her reaction when she stepped back, looked at the room, and said she knew her dad would be smiling at it.
Attention to detail may go unnoticed… and that’s exactly the point.
