Cook Children's Pediatrics (Lakewood)

From the time I called and spoke to Caroline , who got me in on a time crunch, I had a great impression of this practice. When I arrived Cynthia was so warm and welcoming and checked me in. Jenny was our medical assistant and she was amazing! She was very good at making my 12 year old feel relaxed and comfortable while she gave him his immunizations. Then there is Dr. Q, he has such a great way of connecting with my son. He went over so many important things not just physical health but mental health as well. The most thorough visit any of my kids have had. Highly recommend this practice!!!!!

I highly recommend Dr. Q he was our daughter's pediatrician today along with my 9 month old son. After visit for the first time I heard my daughter scream in car mommy I really like this doctor..Dr.Q takes the time to listen attentively, thoroughly diagnose, and provide expert guidance. What sets him apart is that his answers are not obvious; he thinks critically and offers unique insights. Denise was professional and swift in asking history and questions about our kids . She was gentle and kid friendly. Also the the front desk Cynthia was very helpful and welcoming. She checked us in Fast. She is awesome! She promptly returns calls and assists with necessary stuff . Thank you

Management staff and specially receptionist lady is very rude and unreasonable. I have never since such a bad experience with management of paediatricians. Dr Q and nurses are best, good and great, but receptionist (as they say empty vessels make loudest noise), you can come to this clinic and see it by yourself. I just cancelled all future appointments and changing their paediatrician just because of unprofessional receptionist and her manager. They are not understanding the situation of parents and only see them as a person from who they can make money.

Dr. Q really treated my daughter well. He listened, understood and explained the issue. The medicine was appropriate and my daughter recovered fast. However, I wasn't happy with the billing. I was concerned that a charge of $425 for office visit was not fair. But I think there's something with the insurance company to do, as Dr. Q explained, though I didn't get all that. I just trust him and so I've edited my review.

Dr. Q is SUPERB! I have been taking my kids there for over 2 years. My kids love going there as he treats kids in a magnificent fashion because he relieves their fear of physician procedures / shots. He is a vastly knowledgeable pediatrician. Also, he takes his time in doing a thorough examination and does not rush things.. He is a highly recommended & highly skilled!

Dr. Q is truly amazing! Not only does he handle kids with the utmost gentleness, but his diagnoses are spot on every time. I couldn't recommend him enough. He's definitely the best choice!

Aegis Pediatrics is a real blessing for my kids. To be honest, my kids have never felt so confident in a clinic before, until we visited Aegis. Specially the younger (3y) who let Sandra weighted and measured him with no troubles 🙌 Dr Q and Sandra are always caring and devoted to the kiddos well-being. Also, Dr Q is an amazing pediatrician. He truly worries and cares about your child. He asks questions and give you detailed information of the diagnosis and explains things that worries you as a parent. We are really thankful and recommend them 💯 and give them 100 stars 🌟

Can not say enough good things about our visit to Aegis! From being able to speak to the doctor directly before the appointment to spending an extended period of time discussing my every concern regarding my daughters asthma… Dr. Q’s care, service and bedside manner were top notch! My daughters are always very nervous and he made them feel so comfortable and safe. I finally felt heard and like he truly wanted to understand everything before giving advice or a diagnosis. I am so happy to transfer over and have our pedi be close to home! I will refer anyone I can here! Thank you so much!

I have never experienced the level of care we get at Aegis Pediatrics. If I could give Dr. Q and his staff 10 stars I would. Not only is every single person in that office friendly and helpful, Dr. Q is amazing. He asks questions, listens and really shows he cares about the wellbeing of his patients. He has been able to explain issues to me that no other doctor has explained which really helped me as a parent help my children with what bothers them. Recently my kids were sick and had a check-up. My oldest continued to have odd symptoms and Dr. Q spent 15 minutes on the phone with me over his lunch break to brainstorm and workout what might be some reasons for her issues. It is so refreshing to have a doctor that sees his patients as individuals and really CARES. I am so blown away. I wish I could find a doctor for myself who is as attentive and knowledgable as Dr. Q. What a gem!

Doctor is amazing! Although the staff that work here are terrible. Never helpful and give you the biggest headache. My sons insurance is through a third party payer and they claim the “have contacted several times to determine eligibility for several days” although you do not contact me until the day before the appointment. Then when I get here you try to make me be self pay cause you have no determination to help with the insurance. So you basically refuse to see my child until we figure out the insurance ourselves. Never will I come back to this office just because of the staff. Horrible experience several occurrences not just once. I will be going somewhere else. Somewhere that actual is willing to take care of my child and help with the parents. Update: the note left on my child’s chart was not considerate at all and not happy with the staff once again. Found a great new doctors office that was willing to work with our insurance situation. If you run into any insurance problems do not take your kids here. They will not help you at all!!
