While I haven't had any physical work performed by this company yet, Dave, one of their employees, gave me a detailed explanation of risks vs benefits for my situation. The conversation was very information and included multiple examples, costs, relating the situation to more familiar circumstances, discussing studies, how to proceed with radon testing/monitoring, etc. I definitely feel like I can make a more informed decision going forward, and I appreciate the fact that Dave took the time to get me to that point!

We live in an area of Kootenai County where it is well known to have high radon, and this is confirmed by the State of ID. I was referred to Dave at Advanced Radon. He is very knowledgeable and explained everything to us regarding the risks of radon, the testing, etc. One could say it was a sales pitch but I did my own homework on the risks of radon, which is called the non smokers cancer. It is a serious health risk. Dave left his machine and came back to check the reading. The numbers were between 24-35 pc/i/L. EPA says 5 or below is acceptable. Needless to say we were concerned. We installed a mitigation system. Post test was 1.4! Well below the EPA standards. We had a concrete floor with radiant heat in the floor, and there was a risk of hitting a pipe when the crew had to drill holes for a pipe. The crew took their time in identifying the area to drill. There were no issues. The crew was professional and cleaned up after their work. I recommend Dave and his crew. I now feel comfortable that we did the best we could to mitigate any possible risks of cancer.

I spoke with Dave about the radon situation in our home and he explained in detailed and thoughtful way of how to measure and collect data properly and account for machine bias. He broke down our situation to help me make an informed decision about mitigation. Dave is truly an expert in this field, highly recommend.

We didn’t do the actual radon mitigation as our radon level is actually quite low that the risk is neglect-able and not worth any mitigation. But Dave the owner is super helpful and knowledge and spent 30 minutes with me walking through the science behind radon, helping me set proper expectation. I am super impressed not only with Dave’s knowledge, but how willing he is in sharing these knowing he is asking me not do the business. I had my radon mitigation system installed some time ago. The subcontractor they hired came out smelling of beer. He then proceeded to make bad calls, such as putting a metal ladder on my hardwood floor and trying to get into the attic without making sure anything was under the metal touching the floor, which ended up causing a decent-sized cross-grain gouge in my wood floor. When I brought this instance to the attention of the company, Advanced Radon Technologies Inc. proceeded to send out another contractor to evaluate the damage to the floor. To settle the issue, they offered to wipe the bill and issue an overage check and honor any warranty status of the mitigation system. Please note I have not cashed this check at this point because I am skeptical that any issues going forward that may arise would be shot down. I have recently reached out to the Advanced Radon Technologies to explain my concern regarding a dripping sound in the pipe used to evacuate the radon. They were very nice to send a person out who directly works internally. And the issue was resolved and I was not charged for any of the modifications. At this point. I am changing the review from what it once was to a 3 star review. Which I feel is fair based upon what has taken place at this point.

We had a radon mitigation system installed by Howard, and I am beyond impressed with his work. He walked me through what the installation would look like, and we talked about options for pipe placement. He even cut a space in our closet shelves for the pipe to feed through (which was something I assumed we would be responsible for). After the installation was complete Howard showed me the system, where the pipes were, and talked me through the system warranty. I highly recommend Advanced Radon Technologies if you’re looking for a great system and excellent customer service.

Advanced Radon Technologies did my radon mitigation. Everyone on the team was very professional, experienced, and very knowledgeable. David the owner came out and went over the whole process, and discussed where the best location for the pipe to be placed. Shana who works in the office scheduled the job and kept me informed. Shana was very professional, polite and friendly. Gabe and Howard the two laborers that did the work were very professional, experienced, friendly. They left the work site clean, and patched the drywall. They also answered all my questions. True North Electrical did the electrical work and the young man was also very good, friendly and professional. Great Job Team, 5 out of 5 stars.
