“You’ve Got Mail,” is no longer just an issue of administrative overload, it’s a fiscal drain on companies, according to a recent article from the online tech info channel, TechRadar Pro. Data provided by New Fyxer, an AI personal intelligence platform, says employees are wasting thousands of hours a month on administrative work, with emails being the biggest time bleed. Operating directly inside Gmail & Outlook, the platform aims to eliminate email & meeting fatigue by learning users unique writing tone, automating inbox triage, joining meetings to take notes & streamlining team scheduling. New Fyxer says currently only 41% of US/UK workers use AI regularly & calculates that the average worker receives 29 emails daily that require a response every single day. As a result, 57% of employees are working beyond their contracted hours, just catching up on “busywork,” with high earners & Millennials most susceptible to working overtime (76 min. vs. 72 min. a day, respectively). New Fyxer says UK/ US organizations are wasting $954 billion per year on avoidance administrative tasks, which equates to 5.6 hours per week, per employee, which could be eliminated by using AI tools. Some hurdles to incorporating AI have emerged, capturing disparities that show higher earners & males are the most likely to use AI. Among adopters, 75% agree AI has improved their work, with 90% agreeing in the science, technology & research sectors.
