TL;DR: Do not use this company - poor service, poor communication, poor value of customers and could permanently ruin your credit history.
I hate to leave a negative review, but after Advanced Home Services sent debt collectors after me TWICE I feel I need to warn others to avoid the company.
I received the service from Advanced Home Services in December 2024.
Over the next 3 weeks I followed up with several phone calls requesting the invoice as I felt it was odd not to have received it.
After being told not to worry by Advanced Home Services over the phone and feeling like my concerns were not being taken seriously I emailed them requesting the invoice.
With no response I continued to email them following up asking to please be sent the invoice so I could pay them, detailing the date and location of the service.
I was repeatedly told over the phone “not to worry” and “you won’t get in trouble,” despite my genuine concern about not receiving the invoice.
Still, no one at Advanced Home Services contacted me to resolve the issue.
Then, in August 2025 I received a message from debt collectors due to the unpaid invoice (that I never received) from Advanced Home Services. I paid the bill immediately.
I then contacted Advanced Home Services again. After getting in contact with their manager Helen, I directed her to the emails I had sent months ago, which she found in their inbox. Helen told me the debt collectors should not have been contacted.
After months of stress, I thought it was finally over, as I paid the debt collectors so Advanced Home Services would have received the payment through them.
No, Advanced Home Services sent ANOTHER invoice to the debt collectors who reached out to me again yesterday while I was at work and asked me to contact them that day. This resulted in me working with the debt collectors to discover Advanced Home Services sent a duplicate case to the debt collectors.
I’ve always paid my bills on time and even followed up with Advanced Home Services to ensure they were paid for their services. From a business perspective, I do not understand why Advanced Home Services would send debt collectors before simply contacting the customer. This issue could have been easily resolved over the phone.
What I also cannot understand is how, after all the clarification through calls and emails, they could still send the case to debt collectors again.
Now I face the risk of not being approved for a home loan and puts my career in jeopardy because of Advanced Home Services poor business processes and failure to value their customers. I cannot begin to express the stress this has caused me over these last 10 months.
I will also mention that at no point did Advanced Home Services offer any form of compensation, even after acknowledging their mistake and the stress this situation caused.
While I understand they are not required to offer compensation, I believe that, from both a professional and personal standpoint, it would have been the right thing to do given the circumstances.
With all that said, please be warned, avoid this company. The service itself was below average and the lack of communication and lack of value for customers is some of the worst I've ever experienced.
If you're looking for an alternative, I have used Maid2Match as a cleaning service and the lady who provided the service was lovely and their communication was good.
