I have been attending Advanced Eye Care for over 10 years. What I find incredibly important are three things. One is their complete attention when seeing both the staff and one’s doctor.
Two, while there can be a wait sometimes, one can be sure it is not out of laziness nor disrespect from any of the staff for they are working long days with a variety of patients. Some patients have few issues with their eyes and others are quite serious. And while the doctors make time for each client and their particular issues, it is impossible for the doctor to know if the issues have subsided or gotten worse since their last visit. In my experience, a schedule is not set in stone, but it is an improvised guide that can change throughout the day based on us, “the patients) & their needs. So while waiting can be frustrating; I take it as a signal of deep caring for each individual and their ever evolving needs in present time.
Finally, I have had such good care there that my eyes are functioning so much better that I as a 71 year old woman I no longer have to go twice a year. This is due to having great individual care and sometimes longer appointments like when my discovered a hole in my retina; or the time he noticed my short optic nerve; or realized one eye needed extreme liquid immediately.
In conclusion, it is my experience that the doctors and staff there are kind people with deep expertise, particularly my doctor, Dr Shafron or one of the staff Mary. What a humane and experienced and staff member. He is a doctor who not only is intellectual about his work, but goes out of his way to educate a patient about their issue, if they want to know. Sometimes and as a person who has anxiety, I dread going because of potential, new issues that could arise. However if I must see an eye doctor, Advanced Eye Care is the place and best choice for me. Even in the waiting rooms, if one is friendly to the patients they are nice, supportive and conversational. Don’t hesitate to go there because the doctors and staff are busy, individually minded and educationally supportive to patients and their issues. You could miss an opportunity for great care and comfort leading to a more healthy life for your eyes and for you!
