A mature lady needed a kidney exam. Her doctor advised her to reduce inflammation prior to the exam.
We needed a quick intervention and so we:
🍭 Decreased inflammatory foods
🥬 Increased anti-inflammatory foods
We added more vegetables, either fresh in salads or roasted and steamed.
We decreased her refined sugar intake through temporarily restricting sweets, chocolates, and low-fat products (which often contain added sugar).
We decreased her trans-fats and seed oils by temporarily restricting commercial baked
900ds, box meals, and low-fat products (which often contain more trans-fats and seed oils).
We decreased fizzy colddrinks and caffeinated drinks, replacing it with water and herbal teas.
When she went for the exam, the doctor was frankly impressed. Her inflammation had reduced to a point way below the previous exam, two weeks prior.
All through common sense, and consistently adhering to healthier eating patterns.
