Do you have a voice in your head?
If so, you're not alone. We all do. We all have a voice in our heads and that voice can say many things.
Sometimes that voice means worrying about everything that can go wrong.
Or sometimes it's criticising us for everything we do wrong.
And sometimes it's making us feel angry or guilty about everything that goes wrong.
Most of the time we don't even notice it. We don't question it any more than we question breathing. We think we are that voice.
But we are not that voice.
That voice is happening on autopilot, throwing thoughts and emotions around that we have no conscious control over.
And so we act based on the voice.
We feel based on the voice.
We end up believing the voice.
Listen to that voice as often as you can. Really listen. Pay attention to any thoughts that come up again and again and again.
The more you observe your own thoughts...
...the more you will come to recognise...
...that the voice is not actually the real you.
The real you is the part that is observing those thoughts, those emotions, those feelings.
Is the voice one you truly want in your head?
