So often we find ourselves saying “I simply don’t have the time to relax”. Amongst deadlines and schedules and tasks and email and children and duties…things stack up.
For many of us, the idea of relaxing and recharging is something “I’ll do when I have the time.”
But finding that time within the small spaces of our lives is easier than we think. Perhaps it’s a cup of tea while the kids are in the bath. Maybe it’s closing your eyes for three minutes in the car before work. Just breathing. For someone else it’s an evening text conversation with a good friend, sharing the fun news of the day.
It looks different for each of us.
And it’s needed. So, this week, when you find yourself with five minutes between things, close your eyes, take nine deep breaths in and out, and mentally repeat these words:
🪻 Appreciation
🌹 Gratitude
🌻 Care
🌷 Compassion
What do you appreciate about today, about yourself? What do you have gratitude for? What do you care about? What do you have compassion for?
Those five minutes will make all the difference.
