Been trying to fix a Schick sensor that auto fires with them for 6 months. I sent my sensor in and they said it was a cable issue that would cost almost $1200. I said ok, few weeks later I get my sensor back, and it still has the same issues that I had before. I called, and they said send it back to them. Which I did, then a few more weeks goes by, and I call ask about my sensor. They said they're not sure what's going on. Few more weeks I call them, they said my sensor has a bad CCD. I could either repair that, which they didn't have a part, or refund me after they remove the new cable. I told them I'll take the refund. A month goes by and I call again, and they said they are ready. They send me my sensor, and I call about my refund, Acutech tells me they didn't do anything with yet, because they weren't sure what I wanted. I told them REFUND ME MY MONEY, and remove the new cable. I send it back, another month goes by and I call. They still have no clue, so I said just send me back my sensor. Every time I call this place, they look up my file and acts like it's the first time talking to them. My office has called multiple times, and nothing really gets accomplished.
6 months, being charged for the service, with a sensor still not working is terrible. Would have be ok if they refunded me, but every time I check on them they act like they are still working on it. 2 Months time was plenty to work on it, and they still don't have it resolved.
Update:
Months later they told me they were not going to be able to get the part to fix the sensor. They said they were willing to refund me my money and send the sensor back as is. Glad we were able to resolve it, and I got my money back. But really, the wait would have been okay if the said they were having issue getting the part, or told me how long I need to wait. Communication could have been souch better.
