Activate Canine Dog Training is awesome! We love the owner/ trainer. Alicia came to our home and picked up our little rascal and when she brought him home he was a changed fellow! Our boy is a Corgi/Chihuahua mixed breed who found us and we took him in. He is a very small fellow more Corgi than Chihuahua 2 inch legs and that wide body. He was 7 pounds overweight when Alicia picked him up and she put him on a weight management program and he is down three pounds. We love Alicia! She recommended a doggy treadmill and came back out to our house to show us how to use it! She guarantees her training. We couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend them!

Our 6 month old golden retriever went to activate with very minimal understanding of commands and no leash manners. After her experience with the Essentials program she is a very well behaved dog and is listening to commands with no hesitation. Alicia was also very good at communication during the whole process with updates via videos and photos. Highly recommend

We sent our three month old goldendoodle to Alicia for about 4 weeks and he came back the same sweet, loving boy but so incredibly well behaved. We have two young kids and Alicia went above and beyond having our puppy around her kids to make sure he would learn how to behave around not only adults and other dogs but kids as well which was so important to us. I was so overwhelmed when she picked him up and now I feel grateful and excited having him back home. I’ve had my lab (Mac) for three years and finally decided it was time for professional training. I can’t recommend this place enough! Alicia is so knowledgeable, patient and effective. I still have my sweet boy, but new and improved! Walks are now enjoyable, and it’s so much fun keeping his skills up at home! Mac is also less anxious at home since Activate Canine Training….Alicia helped me learn how to “quiet” his brain. Mac loves her and gets excited every time he sees her. It affirms my trust in Activate Canine Training, and knowing I have somewhere to board him in the future is great too. The only regret I have is not sending him sooner! 🙂

Let’s get a Cane Corso puppy we said. It will be fun we said. Maybe we should have done this a few years ago when we were younger we said! We got Bulleit (like the bourbon) at four months old. When he reached ten months old, 120 pounds, we decided we needed help. While Bulleit was full of love, he was also full of uncontrollable energy, mischief, and had high anxiety when left alone. Our veterinarian recommended Alicia-Activate Canine Dog Training. We were a bit apprehensive about giving up our pup for a few weeks, but after meeting with Alicia we felt confident with our decision. We soon learned it was the best decision we could have ever made for Bulleit, and for ourselves. When Alicia brought Bulleit home to us, we were absolutely amazed at the transformation. The list of things Bulleit, and we learned from Alicia is too long to list. When Bulleit saw Alicia for the first time afterwards, he was so incredibly happy. He loves her! This brings us comfort in knowing that we also have a place to board him that he will love. We still have our sweet, fun and happy Bulleit, but now he is living his best dog life!

Our Australian Shepherd Yoki used to react strongly to other dogs, strangers, delivery drivers, and anyone near the house. He was always on high alert, guarding us and ready to react, which made daily life stressful—we even stopped inviting people over. Finding Activate Canine Dog Training truly changed everything. Alicia and Melissa are highly professional and dedicated trainers who worked with Yoki during the board-and-train program and gave us our peace back. Yoki finally understood what was expected of him, learned all the important commands, and we were guided on how to continue the training at home. What really stood out is how much they care about making sure both the dogs and the families are happy after training. After the program, Melissa brought Yoki to our home, patiently explained everything step by step, and showed us how to handle him. She then came back a week later to make sure all was going well, answer our questions, and give us more guidance. Yoki was so happy to see her again! They not only train dogs but also support families, offering lifetime help and encouraging us to reach out with questions or videos anytime. We are very thankful from the bottom of our hearts. Alicia and Activate Dog Training did incredible work with our one year old German shepherd. We were promised improvement with basic manners and behavior which is exactly what we got. Our puppy came home with a strong skill set in sit, down, boundaries, heel, and place. Alicia ensured we were updated with pictures and progress throughout his stay, and answered all questions we had during the process.
