Ace Handyman Services Jax Beach

Please do not use this company. We called them because the prior owner was great, the new owner is not. We hired them to build a staircase in our warehouse. We signed and approved an estimate for around $2,700, the work was completed, and then we were hit with a $4500 invoice. We were on sight all day and not once was any change in price communicated to us. They would not leave until paid, so I wrote a check. Once they left, we found completely shoddy work. The platform was built wider than the stairs, leaving a gap in the handrail, which they fixed using another board, leaving a railing sticking out the bottom, but also giving us a less sturdy rail. Metal plates along the handrail were not fully screwed in, leaving a gap and sharp edge for people to cut their hand on. Nails were left protruding and broken board were used on the stairs. The work was not up to par, we were charged much more than the signed estimate, and all attempts to get these issues resolved have gone nowhere. The owner will not call us back after repeated requests. We also found out today that the check we wrote was not deposited, they took our routing and account number and processed it as ACH without our consent. We will never use this company again and will be reaching out to their corporate office.

These guys are great. All are good but Don did bathroom renovation and he was Awesome! When I had a concern they immediately addressed it and I could not be more pleased. I would highly recommend them for any project. I will definitely use them again and so thankful they are there. They can do any project and they are a company with integrity and excellence. Brett was wonderful! We didn’t realize there were some missing components to some of the new items he was installing but it didn’t matter because Brett had a plan! He overcame several different challenges in our bathroom remodel and we are thrilled with the results. We will definitely use ACE for more planned projects in the future.

We had Ace Handyman Services install a new attic ladder. They did excellent work including shims and trim. They were professional and fast (the final cost was less than the estimate I had received). Great service at a good price.
