I tell the story of being a Master BMW tech with awards and a full workload… then being starved of real work, buried in oil changes, and undercut by a system that rewards favorites and looks the other way on hacks. On paper, the dealer “can’t find techs.” In reality, they had them and pushed them out.
Why should you care as a driver? Because when experienced, ethical techs leave, you’re left with longer wait times, repeat failures, and dealership prices for quick-lube results.
