About a Bride Plus size

Can't recommend about a bride enough for any plus size brides worried about trying on dresses, like I was! Barbara put me at ease letting me look through all the beautiful dresses and not worrying about them fitting me. Their website is so clear with real dress sizes and prices. My dress was an off the peg dress, I had seen on their site, it fit perfectly and I was overjoyed with the price! I knew it was my dress and they accommodated a quick return visit to confirm this! There was no pressure sales and they helped with recommending a seamstress and had my dress perfect for my day!

I’ve just “said yes to the dress” Had an awful experience prior at another establishment, so was deflated but About a bride just turned it around! I got the wedding dress try on experience I wanted, had fun and just enjoyed it from start to finish! Sam & Claire were amazing, so knowledgeable and listened to absolutely everything I said which allowed them to find out the “one” for me! Can’t rate them highly enough, so grateful and so excited for the big day now!!!

What a genuinely amazing experience I had visiting about a bride and with wonderful Sam. From the minute I walked in she made me feel 100% comfortable and really excited about the experience. Sam is such a kind soul and genuinely seemed like she wanted to make my experience as best as she could, I told her what I was after and she gave me examples of exactly what I needed and made me feel so happy and confident in the dresses. 10 out of 10 wouldn’t even give justice for what a great service I received and the beautiful dresses were available, there is such a warm vibe in the shop and was the best experience I could of wished for. Would recommend to all a million times over.

The best bridal experience I had after 2 other stores. About a Bride has such a great range of dresses with loads of options, including some more colourful or alternative things. The staff were so lovely too and the prices very reasonable. Highly recommend and looking forward to collecting my dress!

Would highly recommend. Lovely ladies very helpful. Had a bad experience at another wedding shop so was really put off and nervous. But as soon as I walked in totally different. Found my perfect dress. Thank you Pauline

We had such a good time, Barbara is just wonderful she really understands the anxiety and trepidation around wedding dress shopping… her experience is so vast that this was the first shop i visited and i said yes to the dress!!! Also being an alternative and plus sized bride is a tricky combination… not many shops stock plus size dresses in so many varied styles let alone so many beautiful black dresses… i felt like a little goth disney princess and it’s made me so excited for my wedding day! Also Barbara’s soft nature and deep understanding really helped me, as a neurospicy individual with ADHD I found that Barbara was very willing to work to my pace and made me feel so comfortable. I honestly can’t thank her enough :)

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at About a Bride! Barbara was so helpful and after trying a couple of dresses she knew exactly which ones to show me. The shop works on an appointment only basis meaning you get the shop and Barbara to yourself which is such a lovely experience. I felt comfortable and at ease the whole time .My dress was stunning and I felt like a princess on my wedding day in May 2021! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing dress shop. I came last year to find and buy my wedding dress. Barbara is very professional, very experienced and kind. Definitely worth a visit. She put my mind at ease straight away, after being a ‘bigger bride’
