AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I wish I could leave a negative review for this place. The manager Haroon is terrible with communicating what is actually going on with vehicles. He contradicts everything the mechanics tell me. And blames everything on my vehicle being old. AAMCO on Trevor Ave(prior on Division Street) has had my truck since April 27, 2024 and I have paid over $20k and STILL DONT HAVE A WORKING VEHICLE. I originally brought the truck in for a transmission as I knew it was bad. The truck started up and ran, but did not drive because the transmission was bad, it’s a 1984 F-350 6.9 turbo diesel 5-speed manual. Once the transmission was out and rebuilt, then there was an issue with rear drive shaft, then the turbo blew, then the radiator, then the water pump, and the injectors, oh and the turbo again; oh and then the engine blew. I had noticed leaking and notified the manager and mechanic, they dismissed my claims saying it’s just from the work they’ve done and burn off oil when I sent videos of active leaks. I have tried to be decent and amicable with the shop and have paid them way more than they deserve. I have filed a complaint with the BAR and just want to make the public aware of the ‘work’ that this AAMCO shop does. I have no ill regard against the shop or the employees, but if this is how you treat your customers, then the public should be aware. I am highly disappointed with the way the manager has communicated, or lack there of, and the work that has been done. *UPDATE* since the owner likes to lie, all of the pictures and videos except the one from the shop surveillance and the oil pan with the bolt video (so 2) were from my husbands personal phone. The mechanic Juan called on 2/17/25to say we would be able to pick up our truck on 2/18/25 but the altenator now is not charging, but they charged us to replace it back in July so why is it now not working?? Oh right I forgot to mention that the mechanic told us they charged us for the altenator but never put a new one in. Weird they just want more and more money yet refuse to do work. Now, they have to rebuild the heads because something else is wrong with it. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP UNLESS YOU WANT TO GIVE THEM ALL YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND STILL HAVE A BROKEN VEHICLE AND THEM NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY THEY PROVIDE OR FIX WHAT THEY BREAK.

AAMCO was very professional and courteous and took care of the issues on my X5 with urgency which we appreciated. Also the fact that they placed original BMW parts is very important to me. We highly recommend utilizing them for your transmission and automotive needs.

The positive reviews are definitely fake. Listing the names of the people at the front desk the worst customer service ever. Very unprofessional. Terrible they charged me $7,000 to fix my transmission and it runs terrible. I went from driving a quiet car to driving a loud car that jerks and can barely make it up the hill from Los Angeles back to Lancaster. I waited to my review to give it time for the transmission to settle and it’s worse. They had my car for 2 times to fix the same problem total time over 2 months. Not to mention I also had my motor mounts done and the first time they gave it back the motor mounts were not even really fixed. But I wont stress that because since they had to remove them to fix the transmission they only charged me for parts and not labor. Most of the $7000 was just for the transmission. I have a warranty but not even comfortable bringing my truck back in to an AAMCO cause who knows how long it will be gone just to not be fixed properly.

He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood each step. It’s rare to find someone who is both highly skilled and genuinely cares about the customer, but Juan exceeded every expectation. The whole team at AMCO worked together to make the experience top-notch. I left feeling respected, valued, and confident in the service I received. dropped off my 2009 bmw 528i with a tow truck due to an issue with the driveshaft. The staff there where friendly and fast in taking me in and getting the job done right. Part was under warranty and was replaced with no issue. Technicians are humble and go the extra mile to get the job done. Keep up the great work!

Working and moving with a sense of purpose when I took my wife’s car to get diagnosed. Speedy quick and no cutting corners, very well recommend this place

They got my oil filter housing replaced on my Challenger in less than 4 hours and kept it just under $1k, which is incredible. The service was fast, efficient, and professional from start to finish. It’s rare to find a shop that combines speed, quality, and affordability, but these guys nailed it. I’ll definitely be coming back for future repairs and will recommend them to anyone looking for reliable work on their car. Thanks, Juan, for the excellent service!
