Quick Tips To Prevent Freezing Pipes:
- If you will be going away during cold weather, leave the heat on inside your home, and set it to a temperature no lower than 55 degrees F.
- Keep garage doors closed if there are any water supply lines inside your garage. This includes but is not limited to your water heater, filtration system, washing machine, utility sinks, etc.
- Let the hot & cold water drip from all faucets served by water lines on exterior walls. Running water through the pipe, even at a trickle, helps prevent pipes from freezing.
- Open cabinet doors that contain pipes if they back up to an exterior wall, such as your kitchen and bathrooms. This will allow warm air inside the home to circulate around the plumbing in them. Be sure to move any harmful cleaners and household chemicals out of the reach of children and pets!
We will have emergency crews ready this week and weekend if you or your loved ones need help.
